My colleague just said he was charged RM200++ for over quota usage on his UniFi.  Serious? o.O I thought they were supposed to inform us before they did that?

if you are not sure you should not have posted it was charged because of over quota usage and then change tune when you are asked for proof... people will be unnecessarily worried and fearful.

they charge for over qota? do they give choice if someone want speed reduce... dont want be charged extra....

I'm not a fan of hard caps.But if it really comes to it then capping at peak hours is more of a better solution to satisfy everyone.

On the other hand, if other countries are moving away from internet capping, why should we go backwards with our internet?Overseas bandwidth really that expensive that it needs to be done?I only see TM making tons of profits every year without any caps...

Guys, im using the default router provided from tm , but when im downloading torrent and play some online games , i will get disconnected from the game , that means the router cannot handle traffic right?

since the speed allowed by ISP is only up to 100 Mbps (time)

pc to pc in ur lan is not using btu (the modem) bro...
the btu just for connecting ur router to TM only.... pc ot pc inside lan using switch/router to transfer

The other more powerful one is the mikrotik one..but wireless n is only 300mbps i think...
