Yesterday, one of my relative got this XPS set which he won via Lucky Draw from his Company Raya Dinner, he did passed this set to me, ask me whether I should take this set as he is already using Iphone 4S.. I did read this thread from page 1 to 54.. I did check on the Yellow Tint Issue, as it does not show that and also checked that from Service Info, it shows Touch Firmware Version is 6 and also from back of the set, it show AC. So I believe this set is comes from 3rd Batch.. also it comes ICS out of box.. But only thing that I feel uneasy is this Set is AP (from Comsat)..

I am using this since this morning, so far no issue I encountered..

I am impressed with this XPS on the following details : -

In Call Quality - Good
Sound Quality - Good
Performance Wise - Good also ( No laggy or reboot)
Hardware - Good
Camera - What to say , I have no words to say.. Really awesome
took few shots during the days and night.. even low light, the pictures are at par of
average Digital Camera..

I think I will take from my relative and use this as my daily phone..

Wanted to root this Set, but I still NOOBIES in rooting, I did read the front page of this thread but still bit doubt ..HEHEHE

Ha ha , I finally managed to unlocked bootloader and rooted the XPS.. Now I am downloading KA_12 Xperia Sspeed Rom.. Maybe tonight I will flash it and see how it works..

I have noticed that different Custom Rom has it own Recovery as I have tried KA12 Xperia Sspeed Rom and the Kernel.. Got into bootloop and stuck into boot image only.. Lucky i did nandroid backup via CWM..
At first my thought is that I have bricked the phone...


After few hours (4 - 6 hours) of seaching in XDA forum, finally I got one solution that is to flash Recovery-Nozomi.img via fastboot method and also reflashed back the Advance Stock Kernel via Fastboot method and reboot in recovery then restore back my backup.. Hmmmm finally it did boot up as normal ...

Now I am bit worry about flashing custom rom via CWM.. currently I am running Stock Rom with Advance Stock Kernel.. now I now checking on battery life..

One thing I have notice about this XPS, it wont get hot that fast as other model smartphones do.. (I have browsed almost 1 hr, it does not get hot only warm a bit only)

Anyway, It is good phone..

Noticed the battery are drained quite fast after fully charged 100%, within 25 mins it drops to 94%.. Anyone got any idea, why?

I am using Black Icase Momax, it really serves me well in term of protection for the phone..

Added on September 21, 2012, 2:23 pmYes, it is worth to buy at current price in the market. It has S3 Snapdragon Chip (MSM8660) which newer than HTC Sensation XE, screen quite big, got Sony Bravia Images enhancement, good camera system too

Ok, I am currently on Stock Rom ICS 4.0.4, Advance Stock Kernel v15.. What should I do, in order to flash this KA Xperia SSpeed Rom.. In the XDA thread, the instruction bit confusing me.. Pls guide how to flash this rom without any glitch.. Thanks in advance

BTW, I have unlocked the bootloader and rooted..

BTW, I have noticed that this XPS has very good signal reception, even tho there is no signal bar, but there is H sign there, I still able to make calls or receive calls and the quality of the calls good.. Not one single drop calls I have encounter so far.. earlier I have use HTC model and SGS S2, I have been experiencing few drops calls at my works place where some of the areas I dont have any signal or poor signal.. But on this XPS, it shows there is coverage and able to make calls.. That is plus point for me since I have make calls for work purpose..

I am using Maxis, bro because most of my office' are using Maxis so it is easier to contact them..

I have flashed Xperia Sspeed Rom KA13 with KA Xperia Sspeed Kernel V6.. I am not that impress with this rom (my view only), I have to revert back to Stock Rom with Advance Stock Kernel.. which are more responsive.. But it took about couple hours to revert back...

Officially, we cant re-lock, bootloader.. that what I read in XDA forum..

What is good Custom Rom now available ?

U can call the Service Centre , give the Imei No to them, they give the warranty period.. That what i use to do for my Used Sony Xperia S somewhere last week.. If can call the one in Amcorp Mall, they are quite help full.. Just say, you have lost the the Invoice and only have Warranty Card, that will do the trick...He he ehe he
