Am really looking into the civic hybrid now, but I am really worried about the battery and whether it will give me problems in the near future, seeing some forums complaining that it's unreliable and Honda doesn't take much responsibility?? The petrol consumption really thrills me but if the battery is gonna cost me inconvenience then it's not worth it. I know there's a 5 year warranty but would they really replace it or take their sweet time to repair and find parts etc?

I also understand that as of now, there are no more CBU Japan, but Thailand instead. Is there really a big difference?

Or should I just get the civic 1.8 and be done with??? Any help/advise soon would be great, planning to get it this week. haha

Thanks for the insight... it's a very popular car, have waiting list for most honda outlets... am slightly disappointed that it's CBU Thailand... hope it's really not a problem...

I heard that buying the civic hybrid now will leave me devastated now since there'll be a new facelift this year? Is the one now the 9th generation? The one's that dropped from the Consumer report or something?

Huh? U mean can't turn off this auto-stop thing? Sounds quite irritating. If turn off econ mode should be ok right?
