hey guys, i'm just curious about the Bluetooth HFT system. now, from what i understand aside the fact that you use it as a handsfree, u can as well use it as bluetooth audio system frm your phone or they called it BTA or something. I've tested using my iphone and yes it works. only one thing, when u play audio using the bluetooth, i suppose at the i-mid display, the details of the song that is now currently being played should be shown rite? But at my i-mid display it shows nothing while the song is playing. i happen to have another car which is the CRV 2.4l and it also have the Bluetooth HFT system. Using BTA on the CRV, both the I-mid display and the the touch screen unit shows all the details from the song that is currently being play. Is this normal in Civic Hybrid? coz i haven't tried using other phone yet. thx

i thought even they got stock also cannot sell at the old price?

is either hold the stock or wait till new price release only can sell... unless it is pre registered lar 

the price is just an estimation... guess what, HCH come in to malaysia... if really really exclude all tax, the car is just 75k only 
so back to the question, anyone put your gear to S when in those heavy stop go traffic to avoid auto stop kicked in?

Let's wait for anyone using 5w40 to comment their FC. I'm using 0w20 in my first 10k service.

i use red one 5w40, honestly no big diff. but in the long run your engine will be well in shappe.. you get what you pay for thats all..
and ps took my car from kl to melaka.. long distance the cvt groan is damn annoying.. but if u gently accelarate to speeds of 120-140 and generally maintain it will be quite a smooth ride.. but then again i floored it most of the time and can feel the tiny 1.5 engine struggling to keep up with my driving style.
overall a good long distance ride if you dont excessively speed. otherwise...

of course, thats due to the fact that we have an integrated system between the engine and the battery powered part of it.  so having a cvt in most hybrids isnt just due to the fact that it increases fuel efficienct by having the possibility to maintain at any or optimum revs. infinite gear ratio. a cvt is able to most effectively transmit these two types of output and combine them.
the jerky feelin you feel is felt because the computer is trying to dictate which power to optimize at that particular time hence the jerk.
eg.
-from the instant you release the gas pedal computer switches to charging hence (jerk)
-from low speed acc.. (jerk)
-the amount of brake applied (jerk)
because its a honda. we dont get the luxury of more premium hybrids such as the most common a6hybrid that fully isolates and drown out this jerky effect as if it is a normal petrol vehicle.

I went to test drive the Toyota Prius (non-C) and I have to admit its acceleration and braking was very smooth like normal car (with smooth CVT). I love its futuristic simple gear knob. No jerks of any kind at all no matter how I drove just as I would drive HCH. Having said that, I am surprised to find Prius' NVH is not as good as HCH on the same roads. In addition I prefer HCH's dashboard and displays eventhough Prius' dashboard is also very good and functional. The original factory tint for Prius is not good at all because my arm was feeling the heat from the sun. I would have preferred if Toyota allows for non-factory installed tint so that I can tint it outside. [[Yes, I know I can take the Prius outside to have its tint removed and reinstalled...but with extra cost.]]

Overall, I am happy with my HCH. Fun to drive and speed around Penang.

Finally I know now why my fuel consumption was around 13km/l. It was because I often stop and idle for at leat 5 mins waiting for wife to to grab something at the shops. Sometimes also reach 15mins idling....ie engine and are and is running.

So I tested recently by switching off the car and sacrifice myself standing outside or sitting inside car waiting. With that I can achieve above 15km/l in city with many traffic stops and go. All that with ECON OFF.

When driving light footed on highway with Econ ON I can get above 19km/l easily.
