My daily travel is around 50-60km. U have a very good point.

Very insightful opinion indeed.  nod.gif

is alright bro... if you are getting vios TRD, still there is a price gap btw the civic hybrid but not by much....
but if let's say u are getting say E or J spec, hmm... there is an hefty amount to consider...

depends what u want la at the end... most of the hybrid car nowadays isn't really that "hybrid" yet but better than pure petrol car... hmm.gif

i'm in the exact shoe as you 2 mths back, but i decided to go for civic hybrid, but fuel saving is not the main reason...

Hey guys, izzit wise to get civic hybrid over new vios as i considering either these 2 car to be driven for many years to come.

If i get vios, i can save few hundreds per month in monthly installment compared to civic hybrid. But HCH can saves in term of fuel usage.  rclxub.gif  dilemma

Any advice guys?

My brother bought the new vios G at Oct, everything is good (in term outlook). But not suitable for me use, cos Will feel float when u drive up to 140km/h, I always outstation. If below that dun have any problem. So if u juz local drive, better go to New Vios o wait new City launch. Of cos if able pay extra why not go HCH

So far average fuel consumption is 16-18km/l 10%highway n 90%city. Last time i tried cruising at 130kmh with autocruise and ecomode on Lebuhraya Pantai Timur(LPT), managed to get 18km/l. Next trip on LPT, i will try cruising with ecomode off to see the difference. biggrin.gif

Lol ok. Refuel full tank at Petronas near to Gombak toll. Journey started with econ mode off n no auto-cruise on Karak highway. Cruising at 100kmh to 130kmh and right before entering LPT(at toll), checked on dashboard n managed to get 19.2km/l.

On LPT stretch, cruising at 130kmh all the way with auto-cruise and econ mode off, when exiting at Jabor Toll, checked the average fuel cons, it has dropped to 16.8km/l.

Further my journey, turned on econ mode, no autocruise was engaged until destination, at the end of journey, total distance travelled=361km n average fuel consumption is 17.6km/l translating to ringgit is RM43 thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Collected my car last Friday. The driving experience is superb! When I collected my car, my SA patiently explaining all the functions one by one to me. I satisfy the service from her.

One of explanation touches on the Keyless remote control. She told me that if the remote control is out of battery, I can use the built in key to open the car. I threw back a question to her" "...yes I can open the door. Will the alarm triggers? If so, how do I disable the alarm..". She paused a while and said will get back to me.

Any expert here have the answer?

Just my 2 cents..
Usually the ic do not require battery... the power come from antenna coil from car.. do remember faraday experiment?.. it will induce magnetic field for some code encryption..
