1. 16.3km/l - 30% HW, 70% City - Econ ON, Shell (330km)
2. 17.4km/l - 50% HW, 50% City - Econ ON, Shell (390km)
3. 17.9km/l - 50% HW, 50% City - Econ ON, Petronas (390km)
4. 19.1km/l - 70% HW, 30% City - Econ ON, Petronas (440km)

I believe yours much better..since it was 90% city drive compared to mine just 70% city.
I wanted to try BHP unfortunately BHP is not AMEX friendly..

Btw, I've got rattling sound at driver's door while driving. It is obvious when I hit the uneven road.
I went to USJ 3S Honda and left my HCH for almost 1 day but the problem still occurs.
Can someone recommend which Honda SC dat can solve my prob?

Thanks guys!  nod.gif

Rattling sound sometimes hard to be detected... try see in there anything in your door pocket? may it is caused by that... by the way, try perringit auto at OKR... make appointment earlier cause a lot of ppl there nod.gif

I prefer Hybrid car since both of us more concern the petrol expenses but not car performance. She prefer smaller size car, so we might go for Jazz hybrid. Still consider between the new City and Jazz Hybrid.

Spam my beauti photo.

HCH fuel tank is 50 litre.
My driving has gotten about 14.4km/l on Penang Island with many stops every 300meters. That is with ECON turned ON. light footed.
So full tank = 50 ltr x  14.4 = 720 km

With ECON off and aggressive driving, i can get 13km/l.
So full tank = 50 ltr x  13 = 650 km

On highway with ECON on, i get at least 16km/l when driven at around 110km/h.
So full tank = 50 ltr x  16 = 800 km
I read that if you drive at 80-90km/h on highway, you could get above 18km/l.

I am generally heavy-footed. it's very hard for me to drive politely and gentle-hearted. Hope the above info helps.
*
if you are heavy footed most of the time, just off the ECON button.

i'm getting around 17-19km/L with ECON on, highway 80%... ECON ON

1) no auto lock. But u can install after market auto lock. Not sure whether it will void the warranty.
2) nope
3) its the petrol hitting the wall of fuel tank
*
1) auto lock i guess no warranty issue, if want to claim for warranty just unplug it...
2) panic alarm i guess can be trigger by long hold the lock car button at your key? am i right?
3) yes, this is quite headache for me... did not experience it in any car before... is this happen on 1.8 and 2.0 as well?

suggest you better dont risk to save the rm400... just let the SC do...
if something wrong the key not done by SC, your 1.4k also burnt...
bare in mind, this keyless system not every accesories shop can do nod.gif

Hey guys, would like to know if any of you guys fully charge the IMA battery manually every 2 to 3 months to prolong battery life? According to the Honda salesman, it is done by pressing the fuel pedal with gear set at 'N' position, and maintain the RPM at around 3-4000 for 4-5 minutes.

Haven't done this before, and didn't notice of anyone talking about it on the thread, so I'm wondering if anyone is doing this practice.  blink.gif
*
never heard of this... but the IMA have 8 years of warranty so actually i wish it kong at around 7yrs and i get a new replacement ... hahaha ... touchwood tongue.gif
however, the way you mentioned is hard to practice...
like what you mentioned, it is like a super long downhill distance... you switch to N and let your car keep rolling without any gearing? hell this is too dangerous... i dowan to risk my life just to prolong the battery...
and when u downhill at a 15-20km/h, once you hit the brake, if you are in N or D, the engine will just auto stop till you lift up your leg from the brake... engine stop and 3-4k rpm? how to do that? LOL

and not to forget, keep on downhill stepping brake will cause your brake disc and pad damaged blush.gif

Oops, sorry for causing the confusion. Actually this is done while the car is resting. Gear switch to N with hand brake pulled.
I see, thanks for the info! But I wonder how come the salesman still recommends me to do this, I bought my car on Dec 2013.
*
i dunno the hybrid can do this kind of charging... blink.gif
thanks for teaching smile.gif

Finally I know now why my fuel consumption was around 13km/l. It was because I often stop and idle for at leat 5 mins waiting for wife to to grab something at the shops. Sometimes also reach 15mins idling....ie engine and are and is running.

So I tested recently by switching off the car and sacrifice myself standing outside or sitting inside car waiting. With that I can achieve above 15km/l in city with many traffic stops and go. All that with ECON OFF.

When driving light footed on highway with Econ ON I can get above 19km/l easily.
*
while you are waiting for your wife, you can always put the gear to N, and foot step on the brake to let the engine stop. No problem. brows.gif

(or use a brick... hahha)

U should go to a few service centre to try ur luck getting ur steering rack fixed. Perhaps now they have better knowledge of it after 11 years.
*
mine also have some sound but i don't think mine is steering rack... is just like dunno what compartment clip lose and got rattling in very uneven road... i guess it is a common problem from all civic... shakehead.gif

just tell SC bout this and they will try to fix but no guarantee (i also dunno what kind of statement they give like this). but you need to leave your car overnight... hmm.gif
