Will HCH 1.5L under power? Im attract by the elegance look,
confuse which to get, either CR-Z or HCH~
Boykidz93: HCH and CR-Z both are using the same engine but HCH is 200kg+ more heavier than CR-Z. Both using IMA 1.5L engine but more powerful than 1.8L Civic. I try tis out, my HCH and 2009 8th 1.8L civic side by side n speed up at LDP highway las few day. 1st 60km/hour is 1.8L leading but after tat HCH start to speed up and leading 1.8L after 100km/hour. I drive my HCH to Berjaya hill las saturday, during up hill, i didnt facing any problem to maintain the car speed and the engine sound very smooth. U wont feel like the engine is "pulling" the car uphill. If u r single, i suggest u go for CR-Z. If u plan to have a family car, HCH will be ur choice. Just my 2 cent. Due to some reason, i had to go for HCH but i like CR-Z more.

Finally found some HCH owners here. I booked mine and will take delivery in Jan 2013.
I have done some comparisons with Insight and Jazz, and found that civic, though Rm20k more suit us more than the above 2.
Main reason for rejecting Insight.... the rear seats are too cramped and ceiling too low. Cant seat any adult taller than 5ft 2in comfortably.
Main reason for rejecting Jazz....still a smaller car, though the ultra seats/flexible trunk space are wonderful. Warranty only 3 years and service...still 5k?
We also thought about the Prius...but RM25k savings can buy us lots of PETROL!
Yes, it is beautiful, larger, star-trek cockpit really shines, but Rm25k more is the killer here....lol.
As we use for 30% town and 70% highway, we think Civic is most suitable for us.
Love and booked the frosty white but hardly see any on the road. Saw a grey HCH at the LCCT airport yesterday. The interior looks classy! The light grey tint really makes the car classier. It is not as sporty as Gen 8, but seems to grow on you. The third time we went back to the showroom...signed up liao...
Hope HCH owners will keep this thread alive to share their experience (any negative beside noise) in here.
Thanks.
Looking forward to my new ride!
P/s: Do you know Prius and HCH are similar priced at USD24k in US? That is why Prius outsell HCH by a mile. In Malaysia, we "save" Rm25k by choosing HCH...that would give me 12500 litres of fuel. Assuming my normal consumption (current waja) is 50 litres a week, that is 250 weeks of happy driving....almost 5 years!
Added on October 5, 2012, 10:14 amWhat is the best tint for the HCH? Any recomendations? As my car is frosty white, should I tint the windows blue, blue grey or the normal black?
Added on October 5, 2012, 5:51 pmI think the new honda will come in 3 sizes, small city, medium civic and large accord...all similar in design.
Congratulation brother! Welcome to the HCH club. Ur HCH only delivery on Jan? Meaning is 2012 car or 2013 car? My HCH tinted wit WinGuard offer by Kah Motor KL. Highly recommended!
