Need some advise from all HCH owner here. Anyone have problem with ur aircon compressor? I bought my HCH on 2013 Dec, in May 2015, my aircon compressor have problem, a very loud strange sound come out from there, send to check, SA told me need to change the whole compressor. Luckily my HCH still under warranty, if not, the compressor together with other part almost cost RM5K. After change to new compressor, last few week my aircon after 2000RPM, it autocut off and change the air intake to external air. I send my car to HSC to check, SA told me the compressor spoil, need change the compressor comp, clutch set and coil set field which total around rm4700++.

My 1st question is, is there any trusted aircon repair shop around klang valley which can repair the aircon with cheaper price?

2nd question is, any owner here also encounter the same problem on aircon? I am doubt why in 5 years time, the aircon spoil twice? How can Honda Japan can produce such low lasting compressor?

Did anyone of you written a complaint to Honda Malaysia or Japan?

Hi, anyone cleaned their throttle body before?
I did it with liqui-moly and now no more vibrations at idle..
But the car will now accelerate on its own.. damn annoying and more dangerous.. id rather the vibration than this!
Sent in for ecu reset see how it goes from now. Any advice or anyone has done this service before?

Got a quick question. If you guys didn't already own a HCH and are looking to buy a used car, a hybrid car, would you go for Prius or HCH?

It is quite interesting that the HCH of the same year (2012-2013) costs more than Prius of the same year. I thought usually Toyota has a better RV.
And to make matters worse, Prius costs quite significantly more than HCH.
I know Civic has great RV but Hybrids generally don't.

can you define "accelerate on its own" ? i find my hch's engine vibrating when im about to reverse the car. thinking to clean my throttle body too

Nah. Go buy spark plugs. Change at local mechanic RM15.

Indeed reasonable price on labor for rm15.
I just replace it diy and it's not easily directly access to the plugs.
I got it from lazada too.
The car throttle response time is better after replacement.
And you can see the old plugs deposit with a lot of carbon.

Get workshop or Honda SC to open the undercarriage panel and ask for this part to be tightened or replaced. On the driver side.

Symptoms if broken or loose:
Knocking sound, the motor looks like always shaking.

This will eliminate rattling sound (metal knocking sound).
However, if your car still shakes when in gear.
Clean throttle or check main mountings.

Hi, I have a civic hybrid 2012 and I've been reading the discussions here. My car has jerks during acceleration and deceleration at low speed and I noticed that a few owners have similar problem.

I've sent my car to Honda botanic Klang for a diagnostics and was told to be normal for a hybrid cvt car. A bit disappointed when I was asked ' encik nak kereta ni drive macam baru ke?'
He only explained that it's a normal transition better battery and motor power. Is this true?
Because this has not happen it the past, the jerks to me has been quite recent. Anyone has any suggestion as what I should do next? Or know what's the underlying problem?

suggest u send ur car to Chan Sow Lin SC for further checking. My car got jerking prob too during low speed to high but after sent to CSL SC 2 service ago it reduced significantly (still got little bit), maybe need to replace the spark plugs in the next service.

As someone mentioned the car got sudden accelerate prob, i used to have it also. I read somewhere from Toyota Camry Hybrid owner mentioned that the break booster shut off during engine idle and it will cause the car suddenly move forward. Dunno since when my car got the problem reduced already. Just be more alert during breaking, maybe can highlight this to SC. I have been to a lot of SC for servicing. Mostly SC knows how to change oil only not really good in troubleshooting. I think CSL is still the best in terms of hybrid troubleshooting.

i am now in a dilemma wether honda city tmo (2013) or HCH 2013. price range is almost the same where HCH price is slightly higher but still within my budget.
ill mainly use the car for city drive and few grab trips.
my concern are;
1. which car has better fuel economy (as i plan to use this car for grab)
2. which car has higher maintenance?

Check for HCH warranty. If it's still in warranty. Send for check and replacement of faulty parts. Grab would be effective. However, do note on the smaller boot size.

Bought mine without checking the boot. Lol..wonder how many of us didn't check also.

Maintenance: should be bout the same.
Replacement parts: mostly interchangeable with Civic parts. If compared, sure slightly higher than city
