bro, you can take up the challenge if you want to..  brows.gif but if you ask for others opinion, most people will say no-no.. but if you're confident with your skill smile.gif by all means you can try it out.. like General_nic also want to buy the PG strike gundam to try.. or even the PG strike rouge..

which I'm still waiting for the reviews smile.gif
*
that's a double-no leh, means that normally will not be recommended....but I still dunno how bad is it?
Is there anyone ever posted a review of it b4? or, easiest way is just to google it......these days, you can almost google everything smile.gif
anyway, thanks for the reply bro smile.gif

seriously? why is it no good? sad.gif i was looking forward to it

1st: stickers. eg the black 'parts' on the wings are actually stickers, and there's a lot of it....
2nd: the joints for arms and legs are very, very fragile. I broke the legs during assembling. so had to cement them. if I move the arms, I think they will break as well.
3rd: the feet which is supposed to be 180° during MA mode, is not possible.

sorry, don't have pics to prove them, hope other bros who might have bought this can confirm....

that's quite some bad news :/
i suppose that's what you get for giving something so small an inner frame.. i will try to be careful when i get mine though, thanks for the info and heads up
which part of the leg and arms are the fragile bits? the knee/elbow or the feet joints? or the joints connecting to the body? hmm.gif
*
no problem wink.gif
the knee/elbow joints, can't explain that in details, but should you buy one, just be careful of them....

finished silver castle SD Epyon!
an amazing redesign of the SD version of Epyon, since we never got one from b**dai.. we only got the previous old one which is extremely short and tiny whistling.gif
the kit comes with clear armor and normal armor (for all the red parts on the runners)
the kit is also designed with an inner frame! pretty cool for an SD!

some comparison with b**dai's old SD Epyon laugh.gif

the clear part really shows, but the red color is much too dark

the bonus here is that while the old SD's heat rod is made up of the shield and 2 pieces of 3 units whip each, the SC Epyon has all the whip parts on individual ball joints for better posability! much like the MG, in fact rclxm9.gif

amazing kit, pretty okay to build, damn awesome to look at.. he stands as tall as the SD Wing EW and i'm very happy with that!

and now, for the cons.. while the design is great, the execution is lacking.. they have some great ideas, with their inner frame for the SD.. however! due to molding issue, the joints for the elbows and knees are extremely prone to breaking as they are 2 pieces connected via a peg to create the swivel for the elbow and knee
while i was careful with this, and trimmed down some of the pegs to ensure the joints are not too tight and not very prone to breaking, my unit's knee joint still broke and required some fixing.. while the fix is not extremely hard to do, it comes as a disappointment that i would have to do it in the first place..
the armor pieces sliding up through the arms and legs makes me nervous as well since the elbow and knee joints are quite hard to work with..

HOWEVER! i think it is a brilliant start for something like this.. just a few problems to iron out and they have a great looking SD line.. i'd love to have more Wing series SD kits as b**dai have ignored them for years! if you're a fan of SDs and Wing.. don't think twice about this one thumbup.gif

remember my comments on this kit? this is exactly what I was talking about. I fishing broke BOTH the knees during assembling sad.gif
but if compared to B**dai version, this one does stands out smile.gif

love the results.. very good job! and as always, i have to ask, how did u get the gold tongue.gif i'm still on a quest to find the perfect gold blend laugh.gif
*
Hehe, thanks smile.gif
The gold is still the same as what I used for the Nightingale, Tamiya's.
Bro HxiiiK, other than the Strike Freedom which I used as my avatar, I can't remember if I'd PS anything else hmm.gif

haha, just threw that out there because your SF PS-ed ver is your avatar whistling.gif i can't remember ever seeing anything else either tongue.gif
either way it's a really good job on the astray.. is it only tamiya over a primed surface though?
*
Actually, for the gold, I sprayed it without primer, seems to work well without it.
But for the other colors, the surface had to be primed.
