i dont think our midfield is packed now. every signing is very crucial to ensure next season we will not be out of steam especially during chrismas. furthermore, next season we will play some extra games and these extra players that we got will surely come in handy.
maybe lampard can be our secret weapon next season hehe judging from how mikel played last season after rdm take over, i have no worries. he is damn solid. hopefully he can become better next season.
i am also not sure why moses is our target. we still got RB that need to be recruited. or maybe essien will play there? lol

i think 3-2 is a fair result. iva tackle IMHO worthy of a red card. two footed and one of the leg is even above the ground.
if the result is much worse than 3-1, that is something that we need to worry about. at 3-2, the lads show great character to try and overturn the game.
torres did great. keep on running and presurrizing oppenents. terry and mikel could have done better.
looking forward for the new season. ktbfflh!

as much as i like lampard to play major role in this new seson, i think he will at most be our super sub. i think the real reason he is playing last night was because oscar is not available. oscar was bought to replace him, no?
i do agree on mikel being an integral part this new season. the next maybe need to get RB. then we are good to go.

we can actually omit mikel from the line-up IF our back four is dependable. however, we need to remeber that we got 2 time bombs (luiz and cahil), a slow (getting slower) defender in JT, an uncontested left back (ashley) as well as no true right back. so, how to omit mikel from the line up? sometime i am also irritated with how he play. king of square passes. but functionally, he is doing superb (minus the game against city last week).
would not quite agree with ramires as holding midfielder. that lad got A LOT of stamina and i dont think he can hold his position well. the urge to run forward might bring him closer to opponents goal then trying to protect our back four.
from the pre-season and the game against city, it shows that we really have the quality. however, main problem is that there is nobody in midfield that want to take the lead. lampard seems to go low profile now which is good. but the young replacement (mata, hazard, marin, etc) need to exert their influence to the team and take control.

if you asked me, i am not interested to add another striker in our team. we got enough cover for that position already. adding more strike options will only cause some of our current player (sturridge, lukaku) not happy.
since our midfield got enough cover already, and the deal for azpilicueta is nearly completed, better invest on our CB. luiz and cahill is injury prone. terry also not getting any younger and if he is struck by injury, that will be disastrous. iva is good but need to remeber he also need to cover for RB. so, we left with chalobah and hutchinson. don't you guys think this department need a solid backup? not a star player, but reliable backup like fereira. maybe around the age of 27-28.
back to our playing style, why must we revert to the old style punt the ball to drogba and let him do the rest? he is gone and we need to move on. and mind you, abramovich ambition for attractive, attacking football style not going to happen with this kind of play. all the new player that came in, IMO are not meant to make all those high balls. they are meant to supply ball to the feet of our current striker. torres and sturridge both excel in these. even moses will benefit from this through balls. so, why need to revert back?

among the 3 games we played so far, i am impressed with how bertrand has evolved all these while. apart from hazard, this lad play very well. and he is so energetic. cant help to imagine how far he can develop if he keep on playing like this.
would love to see oscar playing after this. understandable he is not fully fit due to olympic. maybe after the super cup he will start playing regularly

completely outplayed by athletico madrid tactic completely run out of ideas in the center of the midfield and a complete mess at the back
what the hell happen to luiz? and surprisingly, what happen to iva? so poor with his defensive duties. no where to be found on falcao's third goal. and attacking wise, he does contribute much either. wayward crosses and the thing i hate the most, why the hell a defender kept the ball longer than our attacking player? he got bosingwa's sympton? driblling to oblivion?
quite surprise to see how we play. at times, it looks like sombody didn't do their homework. rdm seems clueless. maybe scout didn't do their job in analysis our opponent beforehand?
so, we never really a king of europe. our win in CL last season was no fluke. but i will stop talking about it until we can sort things out and ACT LIKE A REAL CHAMPION!

"A quite incredible display by the Colombian which earns him all five stars. Scored a hat-trick with three sublime finishes and hit the woodwork twice, and that was just in the first 45 minutes. Dazzling, and given a huge ovation when he left the field with minutes remaining." taken from http://www.goal.com/en-ie/match/87440/chel.../player-ratingsthat sums up what the hell are we doing last night. letting in 4 goals is one thing. allowing a player to score a hatrick, that another new story. really really need to change how we approach a game. and hope rdm is not another ancelotti (without plan B, C etc).
