i really angry with david luiz.. he suppose to mark falcao but everytime he have the ball luiz is nowhere.. atletico just using fast break and our player is slow to hell .. atletico plays like when we play against barca last year.. counter and then defend.. we should do that too.. but when we counter we are very slow.. what the hell u stop when counter? wait for all atletico player back to defense?? i cant blame torres 100% cos doesnt produce goal.. midfield is lacking idea.. pass the ball around and the lose it.. hope the team bounce back in next game..

TBH, I'm disappointed with chelsea display but I'm glad at the same times as we were been given a lesson in such early of the seasons.
RDM better improve his tactical strategy as he did not make any changes on the match when we were clearly outdone by AM.
Chelsea player should reflect on their sloppy game play. especially defense department. improvement is needed mang. crossing, passing, pace, defense.
As much as i wanted to rant I expected to see huge improvement in next games. rather than these kind of displays.

that sums up what the hell are we doing last night. letting in 4 goals is one thing. allowing a player to score a hatrick, that another new story. really really need to change how we approach a game. and hope rdm is not another ancelotti (without plan B, C etc).

AM put on a 3 deep midfield which pretty much given a huge support on the back 4.
effectively killing off our effectiveness on attacking them. you can see we dont even have much chance to attack.
AM half is fully crowded with their player.

As for the attacking, they definitely out pace our DM. with the likes of arda turan which able to defense well and attack and Adrián.
from what I seen our defense were going out too high. with their solid defense they easily take back possession and counter it with lightning fast pace.
The result was our defender immediately out number by the AM player.

RDM job this season is to build an attacking & play beautiful football since he already won the holy grail for us. Roman is a big admire of total football, thats why he willing to spend in this season for bunch of creative MF talent. But unfortunately, yesterday that plan backfired. We lose in every aspect ; physical, tactic, fitness, understanding. Too panic after concede 2nd goal, could easily become much more worst with all the misses by Atletico

for as long as we maintain the mikel and lampard pivot combo, we're in for more 'footballing lessons' this season i'm afraid. i find it impossible RDM doesn't realise something as obvious as this, so let's see how stubborn he persists with this pivot. (hint: against decent teams, the pivot needs to be disciplined with neither player making late runs into the box, or worse, consistently going past your attacking players in the final third of the pitch. if you even practice one of these things, it leaves mikel isolated against multiple attackers and his lack of speed means the back four will soon be outnumbered and in trouble. oh yes i'm looking at you lampsy) ramires on the RW is another decision which is driving me out of my mind.

i watched falcao's left foot curler again and i'm still annoyed at ashley for giving him like 5 metres of space, to just pick his spot. no wonder he apologised, he was one of the main culprits. went nuts watching the replays at the mamak as well. personnel vs newcastle should've been maintained, plain and simple. for those of you still in awe of falcao's finishing prowess, i'm sorry to break it to you but henry, van nistelrooy, rooney, drogba, torres, benzema, ronaldo (brazil) are just as capable of such sublime finishing. did he dribble past half our team and round cech? no. did he take a 40 yard shot from outside the box? no. did he pull off an overhead kick which nobody expected? no.
so what was it that really gave him the opportunity to hit the back of the net with such style? it's called SERVICE. something we sorely lacked for 90 mins vs atletico. it's a problem related to the pivot as well, if anyone's wondering. too slow to release passes to our attacking players means by the time they get the ball, atletico already have 9 players in their half.

I just saw highlights of the match on ESPN News, and dayum.... did Di Matteo forget to ask the defenders to DEFEND in the match? Because seriously all 3 goals by Falcao can be avoided IF there is a proper defence unit.

For those criticizing the 4-2-3-1 formation. RDM have to play that bcoz unlike past seasons we now have A LOT of Attacking Midfielders

What we meed is a battering ram like City's Toure. Mikel & Lampard can't do that. We have someone like that in Essien but is now enjoying the sun in Madrid.
