Great debut for Lukaku.
But i don't like how he expects passes when he's heavily marked. He should either lose his markers or pull them away for teammates.

Anyways, the kid will learn and hope this goal gets him going. I'm very pleased.

LOOKS LIKE LUKAKU MORE SUITED TO LOW TIER EPL CLUB LIKE WBA, whr they utilize the concept of physical football ver good...i'd say loan him for aminimum of 2 years to wba to develop him...

i think the highest case might be michael woods + another 1 fler forgot his name edi (tapping up case)..dat one cost like..errmm around 4 mils or something?
but looks like they dont progress much either. (kalau ada case lain boleh tlg highlightkan..maybe i lupa)

it's up to your perspective whether loan stint is good or bad.
rotting the players in the reserve also not good too.

others like borini (free), sinclair (< 1mil iinm), sergio tejera (<1mil) can be a good argument but i dont see them can get any spaces during their stint previously.

i believe to loan out players need to consider in few things like age, progress, playing time etc

but somehow i quite agree with you. Lukaku shudnt be out for too long. 2 years will 'hurt' his development.
Let's see how he progress this season first.

same goes to kakuta (1/2 season & another 1/2 season deal last year--> only the 2nd loan can be considered as 'working out')

drogba not only using physical, he use also his speed, running and creating space. you need to be smart, facing 3 defender and try to muscle through is just dumb..

i think lukaku had a great cameo,albeit against 10 men.could've had two assists to add to his 1st goal in the prem and buried the ghost of 'missing'an open header (straight at reina from 5 yards out) in that 4-1 defeat to pool last season.
