yesterday afternoon i received firmware update notice, but when i tried to update last night at home using wifi, through ota, the phone told me that no update available, how come? my firmware is on AF6

also if update through kies, do i need to reinstall all the installed apps?

not as easy as that. but i believe those heavy graphic games publisher would want to give the same treatment to other capable phones as well thus explaining the easy tweaking this time for DT. but they couldnt make it easier like what they give to Tegra since Nvidia do inject em some sort of fund to have the Tegra3-powered games gimmick reach to average consumers, making them think that Tegra is the best, thus increasing sales for them. 

to me, Nvidia aint bad. They just want their products to do good in sales. With them, games are, no doubt, nicer due to the fact that they pust games developers to improve graphics on mobile devices. But that doesnt make their Tegra the best. Ours are teh best! Only have to do a lil bit of tweakings here and there.

thats because iPhone specs are not varied like in the Android world. That's what Apple are good in doing, I'd give credit to em for this. They have been maintaning constant specs, easier for publishers, thus you could see why there are plenty of games are there in the AppStore that we Android dont have. And their latest devices, it aint weak. Usually games developers would release their games in the AppStore 1st then only to Android since Android have plenty of specs around. more works needed to be done to optimise em for each spec.

and what Nvidia do is simply to take advantage of hi-line Android devices coz they are in it, supplying their own processors to HP manufacturers. And to me, they have done a pretty good job. Ive read Qualcomm are gonna follow their way in releasing Qualcomm-optimised games etc but to this date, I havent seen any prgress of it yet.
