QUOTE(miuk @ Jul 14 2012, 02:24 PM) My case was slightly different. Say car bought in Jan 2011. So for my 18 month service (30k km) must service by July. If after July, voucher burn. Same goes for the nnext service, must do by Jan 2013 Yes.... free service till 50K km or two years... that applies to most car brands too.... You must service the car based on mileage or period, which every comes first... so its either every 10K km, or every 6 months, whichever comes first.... Terms and conditions on the vouchers have this stated... IINM.... And good if they are using MUT3 to reset, as the SC are prone to over set it.... question is are they detecting any changes done on the ECU... I was wondering the same too, whether they can detect any changes to ECU when they did mine last week.

MUTIII can be used to read the ECU... and to read any engine error codes stored in the ECU, and to reset them too... and it can be used solely just to reset service reminder.... Question is if Proton actually instructs their technician to read and download the ECU settings everytime the reset the service reminder.... if yes, then possibly hailat.com...

Getting Started

|
I think they don't have the equipment needed in SC to know whether ECU is reflashed or not
MUT3 has basic functions like ECU reset, check engine fault code, ETACS customization

MUT III Is good enuf to reset basic function and customise ETACS.. The tool cant access ECU fuel mapping or wat so ever timing.. But they can load a different rom. Basically they cant change what is inside the rom. Or shd i says they dunno differenciate the same ROM.

What I said was, they CAN use the MUTIII to copy your existing rom to their system, and then compare it later to see if its the original.... I didnt say that they are instructed to, nor are that clever to do so without instructions from HQ...

Fuhhh...its their big TT?
Hopes they can use their association to urge proton drb to improve quality...
Look at perodua, why they can? A lot of their engineers during early days also coming from proton..
