Wow you are sitting the place that I will sit on tomorrow show. Awesome. Seem like One Winged Angel is the encore... I hope to listen more than 1 encore... Dancing Mad !!!!!
For you guys going for tomorrow and Sunday show, please show some enthusiasm and ask for an encore. We actually get TWO songs for the encore, "Suteki Da Ne" and my all time favorite, "One Winged Angel". "One Winged Angel" we got was the FF7 version, not the Advent Children version, although the visuals are from AC. Also, no guitar riffs.
The crowd went wild on both "Suteki Da Ne" and "One Winged Angel". But you won't get if you don't get off your lazy fat asses and applause for encore.
LOL I don't think you'll get "Dancing Mad" as encore song. The game version is 25 mins long, and the orchestra version is 11 minutes long. You'd only get one encore song if they do decide to play "Dancing Mad" tomorrow/Sunday.
These two songs are our encore songs for tonight's performance. I thought the show was done when they performed "Suteki Da Ne", but the crowd went crazy when Arnie Roth the composer decides to end the show with a bang!
Suteki Da Ne from Final Fantasy X
One Winged Angel from Final Fantasy VII.
They're promising to come again next time, with either one of the Japanese composers, Hamauzu-san or Uematsu.
After listening back at the ORCHESTRAL version of "Dancing Mad", I agree, it would even top my fav "One Winged Angel. This song is dark as hell!
Dancing Mad from Final Fantasy VI

I used to think along the same line about music listening via CDs and DVDs, but nothing beats live music. I listen to lossless music on my portable setup, but it now sounds crappy compared to listening live.
My point here is, if you have the opportunity, nothing beats live music.
AWESOME concert! when the 1st song, 'Prelude' came on, just the harp playing, wow! i got goosebumps man! the memories of Final Fantasy came rushing back in buckets!
the encore was definitely a surprise, and 'Suteki Da Ne' being my personal favourite, it was even sweeter....but i feel the original Japanese version was more engaging....maybe more familiar with it, perhaps? anyway, English version is not bad too...with the visuals accompanying the music
i was seated at row N, number 10 and 11 seats....perfect seating, as the walkway in front ensures no blocked view
for those going for saturday and sunday shows, enjoy man! it's definitely a dream come true for Final Fantasy fans!
oh yeah, dun forget ur souvenirs guys! i got myself the Distant World T-shirt for RM60, and the Final Fantasy book for RM30....the book is a short description of all Final Fantasy games from 1 - 14....in glossy print, and definitely one for the showcase cabinet! got also DVD and CD of the concert i guess, but i skipped those...
Those attending today please update if there are changes in set list and encore songs. I'll be dancing mad if they decided to do "Dancing Mad" as encore.
No cameras. If you try and take pictures in the open, you ill get green-lasered. I'm not kidding. The ushers are very strict. I was lucky to get that shot on my iPhone before was told nicely to not take pictures. They do hold the rights to kick you out if you don't comply with their rules.
NO DANCING MAD???!!!! DANCING MAD IS LIKE THE MOST EPIC FINAL BOSS THEME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nevertheless, looking forward towards tomorrow eventhough i have SPM paper on monday =)
When doing the autograph session, I brought all the Distant Worlds for him to sign then he asked what I was expecting and I told him 'Dancing Mad' as we have the organ to perform.... well he didn't give me any reason just told me next week at Adelaide will have that song... -.-"
Well it was a great show at KL after all. I like the soprano for both song, well if she can sing FFXIV Answer that will be awesome. Then JENOVA was not included. Sigh.... guess 1 day show is really not enough. Hope upcoming Distant Worlds can have 2 day show like the one in Japan. That is really awesome.
sorry for this noob question, where is this Dewan Filharmonik Petronas located? inside KLCC?
Yup... should say part of KLCC. You can go through from the Branded (where all the Prada, Gucci, Chanel) level. Walk through from Chanel boutique then you can find it.
Ya... for camera... you really have to be quick for the snap before the show. The security at the hall was very tight and well managed. Guess what... I never expected this. Well done.
Added on November 18, 2012, 1:27 amFor those that want to get the CD or DVD. Get it now as is it cheap.... I bought from Amazon and just realised the price. Get from the event, you no need to pay for the shipping at Amazon. Worth it especially the DVD. Quite complete throughout the Distant Worlds tour.

i really hope they come again next year... at least, that what I begged Arnie Roth... like "please come again next year... PUHLEAAASE!!"
anyway, did any of u shed tears during the performance? i did, during the FFIII songs... where they came to Aria's theme and they have Aria on screen... god that was so sad T_T
