Actually, beetle hunting starts as early as 5 pm. Also, try to shoo off other insects that you don't plan to catch, that will make the beetles appear faster.

I make 2 trips too. But the cheapest beetle I'm willing to catch is Goliath Beetle, so 1 round can make 400k.

Was able to visit a town selling turnips at 578 just now. Sold all my turnips and made so much money today

Wow, I didn't even know there's such thing as hybrid flowers in this game. And I'm just planting every flower I can buy near my town square next to each other like that.

I guess I'll be getting a lot of hybrid flowers too.

Also, shooing away other bugs on the island is a good way of making other insects like beetles to reappear on the island faster.

EDIT: Oh, I realised you need the same type of flowers to hybridize. Hmm, I wonder to I have it together at my town square

My town has 3 penguins, 2 bear cubs and a bear, and 2 hamsters. I guess I have to provoke a lot of them to leave town if I want some diversity

So.... Today is the Bug-Off.

I actually caught some rare beetles at the island yesterday night, but didn't sell them cuz my Re-Tail closed. So I just left them in the Drop-Off box.

So, can I like, just cheat by just take one of the beetles I caught and then just show to the guy?

Same here. My golden stag got 118, my Birdwing (just caught) got 119!

I got snail clock, caterpillar sofa and ladybug carpet

Turnips in my town selling at 104 Bells.
Dunno if I should buy it or not.

Just wondering, to those who hunt beetles,

How long is your average trip from the island and back with a box full of beetles, and how 'botak' is your island?

I'm able to make it to the island and back in around 30 mins, and all the trees on my island are still in tact.

Haha true. But i was rushing a bit earlier cuz my Re-tail closes at 10, and is offering premium for Rainbow Stag, so I had to quickly farm some beetles. Then I realised that I hunt beetles quite fast.

Need to get signatures for my villagers from another town.

So.... Anyone willing to open their town so I can get signatures?
