Just kidding lah tongue.gif You're right, old cars can be hard to maintain, even Japs so it's a good decision to get a new car. With over 300,000 units (BLM/FL/FLX) sold you bet this Gaga should be easily maintainable for years.

Congrats on the smooth collection despite it being Friday night. I enjoyed reading your "essay" thumbup.gif It's a fitting end to v.25 and I hope your Gaga serves your family well for many years to come smile.gif

Before my Gaga I was driving my mum's 1.8 litre car. Despite that I enjoy driving the Gaga tonnes more so it wasn't quite a downgrade personally rclxms.gif The only things that the old car can do but the Gaga can't are drive without touching the gear lever (auto) and foldable rear seats. Rear demister which will turn off automatically after the timer runs out. Variable intermittent speed wipers. I'd love the last three features in the Gaga, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it wub.gif

My ole gen Saga (1992) was also an Auto; had also Foldable Rear Seats and Intermittent Speed Wipers!! Also had auto-stop power windows c/w block detection, key & light-on detection/buzzer sys & left foot-rest...thumbup.gif
So in those ways, new Saga is kinda few steps backwards...
However, a NEW car gives one a different kind of feel...juz kinda worry-free, too!!
And yup, everything is NEW!! Haha!

ps. Good Morning, Everyone!! Wkend is here!
Enjoy yr Sagas... Me sure will!! smile.gif

hahaha. not this type. cruiser type one

just now in fasting mode, i go wipe my gaga, put trye shine summore. also test my pendrive slot into usb port. it quite a time taken to recognize it. and i can play. speaker sound nice, as i've adjust its bass & treble. but my camry more better. its stock blaupunkt speakers with jvc HU, tag with stock tweeter. people will thought i pasang big subwoofer at the back. hehehe

one thing i confuse is boot. sometimes it cannot be open from inside. need to use key to open. aiya. there a switch open and close at its lock. no wonder susah mau tutup/buka. need to get use to it

hi... new here. i have a 1.6 FLX SE (CVT). got the car 2 months ago, pretty satisfied with it. i have a question on the aircon and i did search but didn't find any conclusive answer... my aircon allows smells to come in... is that normal for this car? the dial is already at Recirculating. am asking because some cars call this a feature (like Volvo).

Even in recirculating mode, smell will still come in. This is true for every car I have driven, because if they completely seal off the cabin from outside, the lack of oxygen will render you unconscious.

Some people opt to permanently, completely seal off the vents, and resort to opening the windows every now and then to let the fresh air in. This could be dangerous especially when you can't feel the asphyxiation until you feel sleepy.

The air duct shutter is being linked with a cable connected to your dial at the console. The cable end being hang with 2 tear(level) shut knot, to avoid the cable being slipped. For example, if you were to shut it, and the knot didn't block the cable from slipping, when you drive, air blown on the duct shutter then the cable will pull back, and your shutter opened. Therefore if I'm driving infront you'll be eating all my hutan bakar smoke. Few things SC can do to rectify your problem:

1) Assume nothing has wrong with everything, then its the position of the cable. Pull the cable out, reattach the stopping knot to the correct position, problem solved.

2) Manufacturer defect, cable not long enough, change 1

3) Dial sudah patah, change 1(haily unlikely)

4) Shutter too small compare to the vent. Snap a photo, make a lawsuit against Plotong for allowing exhaust fume in the car. For the pass 2 months being consistently inhaling dangerous carbonmonoxide, as good as cancer in progress. You'll probably get another free FLX SE + 1000 years of petrol fuel up as compensation for the faulty design(if you get a representative to sue against Plotong, and assume if you did win the lawsuit)

If nothing wrong with your air vent or any of its component, then its because you're being over sensitib. There is air duct beneath rear door frame to allow outside air being channel to the cabin, also allowed cabin air dispurse out when u shut the door(otherwise you'll break something everytime you try to shut a door).

I had a little bit too much... Oh.. Oh.. GaGa.. Yeah

Yup, Bro...
When travelling long distances with all windows up & in re-circulating mode, it's advisable 2open a window 2allow a change of fresh air.
One wld otherwise may be inhaling stale air with higher CO2 content, thereby causing a drowsing effect on driver. tongue.gif

Of course, there's need 2find an opportune time 2do so...or one might do worse ie allowing exhaust fumes from other vehicles 2enter... brows.gif

Hv safe refreshing trips alwaz... thumbup.gif

Added on July 21, 2012, 2:10 pmps. Me hv found a good quality Ioniser in the car helps alleviate long distance effects on driver's alertness.
