The card benefit is not bad. Annual fee can be waived upon 12 swipes in a year BUT HLB customer service is the thing that stops me from applying this card

11.The Cash Rebate will be calculated on the 1st of each month (rounded to the nearest Ringgit Malaysia). The cumulated Cash Rebate shall be credited monthly to the Cardholder’s Statement. For the avoidance of doubt, any Cash Rebates due to the Cardholder will be posted in the credit card account and reflected in the Cardholder’s Statement for the particular month. In the event the Cash Rebate due to the Cardholder falls on or after the 1st day of the month, the Cash Rebates will only be reflected in the Cardholder’s Statement in the following month.

i got it from HLB agent, dont know why it didnt stated in the T&C. For those who want to apply this card, you have to go to either Mid valley or IOI mall puchong to apply for it

This card will be a hit due to the income requirement. Card design and colour is kinda attractive, looks just like Citibank Premier Miles.

The annual fee is waived for the 1st year if you swipe once within 45 days, and you get a RM50 GST rebate as well. Only for subsequent years do you need to swipe 12 times in year to waive the annual fee.

Bro, you got Essential right? From what I understand from above posts by our own "LYN HLB Relationship Team", you have to pay first year annual fee too lah.

The agent can say anything under the sun, but system sure can detect you not new to card customer 

hmm.. As far as I know PFCs actually have no power to do waiver of any fees.

there will be campaigns and roadshows. Probably during these campaigns they might have certain freebies to make you feel rewarded to apply this card

example:
Say you intend to buy a Dell laptop via online but you're not sure when..
so you start of with the Savvy package.
at anytime you want to buy the Dell laptop online, just go to hongleongconnect and click on those ONLINE & TECH categories, RM10 will be deducted on statement.
and then you purchase the laptop online. and you have additional 3% cashback.

Dell laptop is considered as tech product. and you can purchase it online.
so all the person needs to do is to go HLconnect, click yes to get the cashback for Tech and Online categories
use the Mach card to buy the dell laptop online. you get 3% cashback

that is true.  Would be great if they do have a higher range.  I trust it would certainly be able to attract more applicants.
