unless we apply not via existing hlb card holder but submit epf document to apply as new
then only can get card in 1 hour
*
possibly policy changed.

i didnt bring anything. went there, applied on the spot. using epf machine there. everything done by staff. approval was verified in 5 mins (called to hq). then required 30mins to emboss the cards, etc.

New FAQ for Pin & Pay (“P&P”) Mach Credit Card

https://www.machbyhongleongbank.com/assets/...it-card-faq.pdf

14. Do I need to enter the PIN when using my card in Malaysia?
Yes, if you are prompted by the merchant to key-in your PIN. Please be informed that effective 1 January 2017, all payment transactions performed via POS or other payment devices and ATM require input of PIN.
*
QUOTE(KY Kiske @ Feb 3 2016, 08:27 AM)
But my agent said it will be used for the future pin verification instead of signature...
*
then request for new pin again lo.

pin verification will take effect 2017. this year would be card replacement and etc.

In order to use the payment with PIN, need to upgrade to new card?
*
forced upgrade from all banks' cards.

good news is card number is maintained so that no interruption in existing standing instructions/autodebit.

quick question about Mach's Mobile bill payment to Maxis.

seems paying Maxis postpaid bill is eligible for 3% cashback by Mach (yes, there's RM5/quarter fee).

anyone have tried Maxis Fiber bill using Mach? can pay Maxis Fiber using MaxisPay? or need to use MyLaunchpad?

Yes. You can pay any Maxis Mobile and Home Fibre via MaxisPay ... it's considered MOBILE (under HLB WISE)
*
great ! thumbup.gif

was thinking to utilize additional Mobile category to pay Maxis Mobile/Fiber. My quota for Wise already full biggrin.gif and Mach's 3% Mobile CB seems the next best thing (and no, i'm not interested to get Aeon Watami or PBB VS, before someone else recommending them LOL~).

You should get UOB VOX for 5%. biggrin.gif

too many cards jor laugh.gif

i'm just targeting Maxis bills, averaging RM500 per month. for Mach, that'd be RM1.5k with about RM40 CB (minus RM5 for the fee) per quarter.

i wonder if holding too many cards will affect future house loan? planning to get a new prop for own stay, but i wonder will the cards affecting my loan applications/approval or not blush.gif

Nah, it will not affect that much. Unless you are not a good paymaster. smile.gif
When it really happens, then only cancel useless cards.
*

If you have huge outstanding amount, it will calculated and might affecting your loan application. Make sure you do full payment every month if possible.
*
i dont have big outstanding from cc except the usual monthly statement biggrin.gif

i was thinking that each card has its CL, so, that amount might contribute as my risk exposure for each card. if bank loan taking account each card's CL, then loan approval may not be smooth. dont know exactly, i just wondering on this.

Package and Category is different term. Package consists of a few Categories

Style "category" outlets are only those merchant they listed on their brochure only, right ?

i had similar experience with this.

Bought jeans from Levi's, not under Style but Retail. Purchases from Uniqlo gotten 2%.

Currently I have a MACH card and I'm planning to apply a second Hong Leong bank card which is the GSC card to enjoy benefits at GSC. Any easy way to apply without the need of submitting documents?
*
i got the same idea as below biggrin.gif no need to complicate matters blush.gif

i can do without other "bonuses" from HLB-GSC. Mach's 10% Movie category is good enough dy.

QUOTE(saitong09 @ Mar 9 2016, 04:26 PM)
You can choose social package or add movie category for existing Mach card.
*
agreed. i recently added Movie category to my Trendsetter package. effective next month thumbsup.gif
