I have recently reactivated my MACH card which was cancelled a year ago, HLB sent me a new card with new card numbers.
Without me knowing, I was given RM100 credit to spend. Yes! |

QUOTE(red_scorpion @ Jun 23 2015, 12:04 AM) How did you do that? call asked to reactivate? then they just send you new card without submit any doc? Yup, just received a call over the phone and it's done. No doc whatsoever.I also owned mach 2 years ago, but terminated on 2014. This year I went in branch, have to resubmit new doc for the approval process. First application failed, officer asked me resubmit more info only able to got approval since my commitment was too high...even though my previous payment records was perfect The surprise is the RM100 rebate that I didn't expect at all. |

QUOTE(kelvinlzy @ Aug 10 2015, 10:19 AM) I mentioned before that my Starbucks transactions fall under MCC 5499, manual feed. You guys might want to double confirm with CS for that. one suggestion, see if it is feasible to individual.Tip: get a card that gives CB for online transactions. Reload starbucks card online. Worry not about MCC code on Starbucks. |

QUOTE(cdspins @ Aug 11 2015, 01:37 PM) Is this card difficult to apply, try to applied through a HL branch but the staff keep ushering me to get the essential. I already have the WISE btw... HLB Branch doesn't offer this card, if I am not mistaken.Because MACH is a subsidiary of HLB, you need to visit MACH centers (i.e. eCurve, Midvalley/Garden) to apply for instant card approval. It is not a super high income requirement card, easy to get approved. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Sep 2 2015, 09:13 AM) i read all the posts in this topic, noticed the cashback calculation method.... see below Wow! I didn't even realize that.i'm not sure if this behavior still the same or already been revised to proper 5%. Thanks for sharing. My latest statement of RM115.25 dining, gave me RM6 cashback (4.8% = RM5.532, which is possibly rounded up to RM6.00). |

QUOTE(ShutterSnack @ Sep 7 2015, 03:56 PM) Hi all. For MACH card can I apply during weekends at their outlets and get same day approval? Or i can only apply during weekdays? 1st, if you go to the outlet with everything working fine (card embossing machine all works well, system not down, etc), should be able to get it within hours. Also, I've only started working since 4 months ago so i only have 4 months of payslip + 4 months of EPF transaction in 2015, will it be hard to get it approved? And oya this will be my first time credit card application. Thanks in advance guys! 2nd, approval is subject to the bank. in this case, HLB. there's no sure telling if new credit holder with just 4 months working history will definitely be rejected (at least, at the kiosk, you will be able to know immediately whether your application is approved or otherwise). |

QUOTE(ShutterSnack @ Sep 7 2015, 04:09 PM) That's efficient! 1st card and you are already thinking about installment.I have one more question. MACH card has this 8.99%p.a interest for flexi payment plan. For example if i spend RM1000 and i would like pay over 12months, it would be RM1000 + 8.99% = RM1089.90/12 months? What if RM1000 and i would like to pay in 18 months? how to do the calculation? My advise is a NO NO NO. Installments on credit card outstanding amount is very hefty and 'dangerous'. Do not spend more that what you can pay. Full stop. When you have built up enough credit histories and learned to manage your own spending well, you can consider Balance Transfer as alternative. As for now, please do not owe bank any money - always pay in full what you spent, OK? |

QUOTE(mamamia @ Sep 28 2015, 01:46 PM) I just got my card from pavilion. But, they just give me the card without sealed envelope. Even the card yet to activate, but I don't feel secure to activate it as my credit card details with cvv number are exposed to the staff who keep my card. Is it normal that u get the new card without sealed? As the staff is also the one who submit the application for u where he knows all ur details during application including mother maiden name. should be ok. CCV is used for online transactions. And you will get a PIN via SMS to your phone to verify online transaction. Unless the staff updated your contact to his phone. |
