Just 1 reminder to all..If you're planning to visit Silom night market, there will some peple offering you cheap beer (70-80 baht) with free "tiger show" from the near by club or pub...Never fall into this trap!! You'll end up paying more than 2000 baht to your bill...I have friend got conned before, You dont pay, you dont go out from their premises.

Real Isan food only serve by the stall at the road side..one of the best in the city is those stall infront of Central world during evening. Try their salt bake snake head fish, Khao niau, Moo yangh beside tomyum, go for crab fried..or pork. After that you can walk across to the Big-C hyper mart, turn to your left..walk across the bridge, walk till the end at the traffic junction, you'll a restaurant with lots of smoke..they serve nice pork satay and cha-yen(teh ais)..

Yup, to be precise..Patphong night market, Silom area. This place a bit nortorious and run by mafia. IF you really want to do night shopping , better go to Saphan Phud by Cab. There is a a huge flower distribution center there..lots of food and stall for buy cheap stuff and most locals go there. Patphong is a cut throat zone..

Added on December 21, 2012, 2:25 amFor those planning to travel in future..try this hotel Bangkok City Hotel...definitely no regret and price about 1100 baht. walking distance to nearest MRT and 20min walk to Platinum.

IF you really have the budget visit the sky Dome at the Lebua State Hotel, The Dome restaurant & Sirocco bar. Its a 6 star place. I guarantee you it will be a breath taking experience. Not all bar hanky panky..Try visit Khao san area a night...there are many happening bars around the area.

For true night street shopping go to saphan phud night market, its a favourite with the local, here u can have good food too. I wouldnt recomend Patphong but u can always give a try, Patphong is a bit expensive . There is a restaurant by the name Ban Khun Mae at Siam BTS station area where u can have good dinner, the menu is in english & just walking distance (about 100m) from Bangkok Hardrock..

Saphan Phud its like any huge pasar malam, shoes, cloths, accessories, craft etc...it's by the river side of Chao Phraya. It's not near Hardrock..but it's still in the city. Not really far.

Hi there guys. Will be travelling to Bangkok in Dec after 3 nights in Saigon. My flight will arrive close to midnight at Don Muang and I plan to stay for the night at the airport before checking in into my hotel the following morning. Is this doable? What is it like at Don Muang past midnight? If it is as busy as our LCCT, I think I will survive. Just scared that there will be very little souls around

This airport is much quiter than any other airport. Opposite there is a Amari airport hotel, maybe u can just hang around there by crossing the highway, but dont worry its safe to walk around the area during night.

Taxi in Bangkok way way better than those in KL, not to mention the condition of the taxi. So many of them you can even choose which one you want to ride in.

I've mention before, for daily night market..either you go to Siam Sq, Saphan Phut, or Patphong(but beware of scam here).
