I just canceled my hotel booking (Manhattan Hotel) which is near Terminal 21, Sukhumvit Road just in case AirAsia cancel flight during last minute.

At the same time I was browsing thro' Booking.com again & realize that I should be staying near The Platinum Fashion Mall & Panthip Plaza IT Mall area. Any recommendation of hotels in that area? What about the demonstration .... is this area affected? Should AirAsia go-ahead with the flight schedule then most likely I will book hotel at this area.

I booked the 93 hotel which is near to the Platinum Mall. Pratunam is one of the protest site.

I am confused now :-(
AirAsia again emailed me today the Travel Itinerary confirming my booking! Now not sure whether my booking has been cancel or not. Thought of going down to Low Yat Plaza tomorrow again to re-confirm.

Worst is they can't even provide a Customer Service contact number to call.

It's better to go there again and make noise. They cannot leave question marks.

i've requested for flight cancellation for credit shell , which the flight is on 28th feb. AA live chat agreed without any questions ask.
*
It is because they already received order from higher ups to allow full refund till end of February. What I don't like is, there is no announcement about this at their website or facebook page. Guests who are not aware will not get it.

Also, for your info, if you made bookings thru direct debit, they can refund direct to your bank account no need shell.

Quick question:

Is rm600 flight to Bangkok considered cheap? or normal price?
*
I think it is expensive if it is AA. It could be as low as RM260. I got this price at the last year's promo though.

good info.
i've decided to de-tour to Pattaya for 4D3N, with only the last 3D2N in the city before departing home from BKK.
will only do chinatown/asiatique & maybe chocolate ville which i think are still safe.

now, just need to carefully pick a 'safe-zon' to stay thumbup.gif

P/s-travel period mid-april ( just after songkran)>>> anyone going that period??? if yes, lets keep in touch
*
my travel date is during at period too but most likely cancel the trip sad.gif

Just received an email from Air Asia  biggrin.gif

We are pleased to inform you that your refund has been validated. This refund process would take thirty (30) business days to be completed.
So, kindly check your credit card / bank account after the said period.

Sent my e-form on 25th Feb and received the call regarding my refund on 1st March.
Total process took almost 1 week.
*
That is good rclxms.gif I heard from my friend that the refund process is fast too. Less than 1 week smile.gif
