Nana plaza should be same like soi cowboy also. Just bars with bar girls dancing. Some ladies walkin around trying to get customers...

I tried T&K in Chinatown. Not bad... For me the price is cheap. We had big prawns, oyster omelette, crabs ( didn't quite like their curry style) and Thai style steam fish.

Take bts can reach or must by cab?
Takut kena scam by cab or tuktuk or not? I read that cabs or tuktuk will con tourists ie. take them to the 'fake' somboon seafood

Hi there all......will be going to Bangkok on 16th Oct until 21Oct 2012.....

I have made an itinerary for it....But still got something bother me about the accommodation.....

Should I split into 2 hotel or isit better to stay in the same hotel only for 5 days??

the reason I think to split is because of the Amphawa Floating Market is quite far from Bangkok town(which is myhotel location).....

and have any1 been to myhotel before??is it any good?

If you're looking for a good map with attractions clearly marked, get a Groovy map which can be bought from major bookstores like Kinokuniya, Borders and MPH.

Also if you're going to a floating market, I would recommend Taling Chan. Not many tourist and lots of locals go there. Not very big but authentic.

If you really want to experience the local life, you should take public transports like the river express boat, khlong san sap, public buses and the motorcycle taxis. You can also try the tuk-tuk but there's a risk of getting ripped off unless a local flags it down for you. Avoid good english speaking people. They're most probably, if not surely, scammers. Also not to forget the BTS and MRT. Lots of traffic jam so taxis are not really my thing. Didn't even take one when I was there recently. Did a lot of walking too.
