hi guys
Wira 1999 1.3GLi (M) A/B (MMC ECU) here
All stock exept rims.

I have been battling high FC for a few months now. It increased dramatically and I cannot figure out why. cry.gif I have not been keeping track of the mileage but a few days ago after taking advice from a few people I went ahead and did the following:

1. Change oil filter + oil (castrol)
2. Change spark plugs(proton)
3. Performed engine tuning
4. Changed air filter

These were done at EON service. After doing so I filled up the tank and got approx 360 km(City + H/way) before the orange light came on. Not much difference with or w/out air con. Thats pretty bad from what i've read here. Still the same prob. According to the proton mech, high FC is common for my model as the car is heavy.

Secondly, I would like to know from those who have got their engine tuned at proton before, how long did the process take and what was involved? Mine took less than 5 mins. He connected a MMC handheld device to the port under the bonet release lever and it showed my engine's rpm. Then he took a jumper wire and shorted some wires at the engine compartment, checked the device again and it was finished. Is that how its supposed to be? The tuning costed RM15 rclxub.gif

Third, when my fuel indicator needle is anywhere below 1/2 tank, and i stop at a traffic light and take off again or make a sharp turn, the needle would drop a little, as if it took up that much fuel to get the car moving. Is the float in the tank faulty?

I would appreciate any thoughts on the matters above. thanks
BTW I'm not heavy on the gas pedal, at least not since the FC increased. I try to keep it engaged in the highest gear with the least acceleration possible.
