It depends on your car's engine condition
How old is your car anyway?

Whats type of oil you using? Currently semi synthetic right?
New engines no peoblem running on either semi or fully
Just that when you want to change oil types like from semi to fully or to mineral, make sure you do an engine flush first smile.gif

Btw, any ideas how 2 employ the 'Kickdown' technique for Auto cars?? if i'm not mistaken, it's a technique to lower the rpm yet maintaining the same speed, so that u can drag the rpm further

I tot kickdown was to release-and-floor the pedal to force it to downshift?

currently i'm using castrol magnatec..i dun want to use fully type becoz the oil is thick that can result my car to be heavier and consume of petrol..summore mine is auto tranny.hehe..if 10w-40 is the right pair for my car, maby consider it for a long term wink.gif

Consume of petrol is entirely subjective, it depends on your driving style and driving conditions

And I am using fully, auto tranny, no problems at all, fuel consumption is good for my car too smile.gif car not heavy either

Bro shinjite,

U mentioned that if we are to switch from full syn. to semi syn. or mineral, it's better to flush the engine first. Is it really a neccessity?

I've been using mineral type all along, and i plan to switch to semi synthetic for my next change. So, do i need to flush my engine?
