No way they have 1.8 MMC version
If you have the source, please show me

All I know is 1.8 is using Renault's F4P D4 DOHC engine
if 1.8 MMC, what engine its using? smile.gif

I'm pretty sure that the 1.5 and the 1.6 Wajas has got power steering but not too sure abt the 1.3s.
You're driving a 1.3,how is it?
*
1.3 on a wira is underpowered. Get a 1.6 or a 1.5 at LEAST!! But if you worry about FC and dun mind driving a bit slower than the other guys...then its ok.
For 1.3, you'll suffer on uphills and when you have a lot of passengers tongue.gif
However, when using it for long trips like going back hometown...I could go 140 with no problem hmm.gif

I agree on the underpowered part. My comparison with a colleague between my wira 1.3 M and his 1.5M shows that he actually saves fuel because of his power/torque. My journey everyday involves a few slopes that forces me to shiftdown to a real low gear in order to get the car moving, while he can just zoom in with a higher gear.

I'm thinking of upgrading the engine to at least 4G15 or 4G91 soon, since that's the only cheapest way to go (rather than fiddling with lots of things that cost you a lot but only can achieve so much)

not all cars....I remember not long after I got my driving license, I drove my family (of 5) up to Genting for a holiday. We were using my mom's 1.3 Saga/Iswara for several reasons. Anyway...driving up was damn easy!! I mean for my experience that time, I was about at 4k rpm only and the car went up the hill like a Viper on the Autobahn laugh.gif

In normal roads, I never rev more than 2.5k...drive economically mar blush.gif and I was driving a 1985 Ford Lazer laugh.gif

But there's one drawback on this - the low-powered engine car chassis are usually are not that strong to withstand the bigger engine. I guess those who did this better not to aim for very high if they value their lives smile.gif

Incorrect. The basic design of a Wira was created to withstand a 1.6 engine. It was only later which they implemented 1.3 engines to meet the demands for the lower income consumers.

Either way...the difference between a 1.3 and 1.6 isn't that big. The car body should be able to withstand a little more force. If you feel insecure, you can also install some racing bars smile.gif
