These two model, apart from the processor, bluray, 4gb ram, 500gb hdd, and window 7 difference, any other different in term of processing power and gaming capability? the graphic card is both same 2gb? worth to get more expensive version? thanks

There will be difference in program load times because of the difference in HDD speed, but other than that, performance should be similar...

Imho the more expensive version is not worth it unless if you want to watch Bluray movies using Bluray discs laugh.gif
You could easily get the cheaper version, with enough budget to extend warranty to 3 years onsite and also upgrading the RAM or HDD nod.gif

Ya.... Save the 600 and buy a ssd better

I see. Nowaday i dont really use the cdrom, for formatting purpose only. so is better to buy the cheaper and get ssd as adviced.
How much if extend warranty to 3 years?

these two model,
Y480(5934-7549), i7-3630QM + Nvidia GT650M (GDDR5) @RM2599 [JBL], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), backlit keyboard, freeDOS, 2 yrs warranty, P950 headset
Y480(5934-1372), i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT650(GDDR5)@RM2699[JBL], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), backlit keyboard, W7HB, 2 years international warranty

is it worth to add on 300-400 for y580 than y480?

If you don't mind the size, the FHD Y580 totally worth it over Y480. nod.gif

Hard to say......
The 660m is totally same with 650m gddr5
Only different 100mhz and more resolution.
I would rate them same performance.

i see, in that case maybe i just get the y480 if not much different.. hmm.gif

I've come to the realization that I need a smaller laptop over a powerful laptop, so I'm asking for advice once more.

1. Prefered brand : Anything
2. Budget : RM6000 (give or take)
3. Usage : Adobe Creative suite, movies, light gaming while I'm traveling
4. Prefered screen size : 13" to 15"

I'm after something in the ultrabook class of laptops preferably - something light and easy to carry. I would prefer at least 8gb of ram, latest generation i5+, an SSD (128gb min), and a dedicated graphics card (instead of shared - I will be doing a lot of photoshop work). I know thats a big ask for a small laptop, but I'm hoping there's something on the market that will match my needs. What I don't need is an optical drive, although if it comes with one, thats a plus.

1. Preferred Brand: Any
2. Budget: RM4k to RM5k
3. Usage: Office use, prefer high portability and reliability
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 13" - 14"

is it possible to sync my current desktop PC (HP Pavilion Elite) to laptop for my works? For e.g. if i save my my work in desktop PC, it will save the same copy in the laptop...

for the work sync, just use any web storage. Such as dropbox, sugarsync. works perfect for me smile.gif
