if you only choosing for dell and asus just depend on you whether you need a good build laptop or warranty after sale..
good build will be asus n56vz..it is very solid build with elegance
while warranty provided by dell is very super good.

True.
In contrast, don't expect excellent after sales service from Asus, and not excellent solid built unit from Dell

yes. correct. so just think on what you need for and what kind of services you want. hav to consider by yourself. tongue.gif

I'm not sure shops accept trade-ins...
Its best that you sell of your G55 first, then use the money earned to get the Lambo, but that would be more like a downgrade hmm.gif

Is it available here? Can't seem to find it in the HP online store, mind sharing a link if you have one?
Anyway, how much is your budget?  hmm.gif
The Asus G75 is a great pick as well~

Better confirm that the warranty is really available, and do check the laptops sold are not refurbished units  hmm.gif

in this case any other 17 inch laptop to recommend? while still in my budget.
i had ask the seller as the warranty not sure can be claim in malaysia or not so just like buying a time bomb not sure whether ok or not and yet the laptop do not hv a 3 days exchange policy... mean if anything spoil then done...sigh sad.gif

Unfortunately most 17" notebook are a lot more expensive than that, the only one within your budget range is this one:
17.3"
Lenovo Ideapad G780, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT630M + (1600x900)@RM2699[3.0kg], 4GB, 750GB(5400rpm)

Why not consider 15.6" notebooks bro?
They're relatively cheaper, yet packing quite a punch hmm.gif

I need at least i7 to run my work and also the larger screen is better for me to look into my autocad. btw i place an order currently but not yet received the laptop ( envy 17) hopefully it wont be a time bomb machine and serve me well. notworthy.gif
however if still got any recommend laptop pls do not hesitate to tell me as i still havent purchase the laptop yet. smile.gif

In my view, the Envy 17 is not worth it... Like you said, its a time bomb laugh.gif
If I were you, I'd compromised and get a 15.6" notebook instead, its not like they're small anyway haha~
At least I get more or less the same power in terms of CPU and GPU, and also official warranty support

But i really get into it this time and cannot pull myself out.. but really dilemma in between the warranty. i had contact hp malaysia they said it cover only 1 years.. so i not sure how...
