Well, AW does have better craftsmanship are more solid build that other competing counterparts, not to mention the superb warranty support and blings blings brows.gif
Still, being an M14x user, I would not recommend getting one because it doesn't really make sense (especially if getting a 14" is a MUST), the weight is more or less similar (or heavier) that 15.6" gaming laptops which perform better than it laugh.gif

Not sure what is the former laugh.gif SOrry about that...
As for the 2nd one, service as in cleaning the fans and re-applying thermal paste? hmm.gif
You could do that yourself if you feel up to the task  smile.gif

You mentioned the grrat warranty, but i heard that if anything happens, you have to send it overseas and all. But anyways; Thanks youve been very helpful!

So these are the laptops that are recomended to me with a budget of 4-5k

14" Dell Alienware M14x R2, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT650M (1GB) + (1600x900)@RM4499[Klipsch], 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm); [CPU Options: i7-3610QM -i7-3820QM]

Lenovo Y480 (5934-1161), i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT650(GDDR5)@RM2499[JBL], 4GB(1600mhz), 500GB(5400rpm), backlit keyboard, FreeDOS, 2 years international warranty Y480(5934-1372), i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT650(GDDR5)@RM2699[JBL], 4GB(1600mhz), 500GB(5400rpm), backlit keyboard, W7HB, 2 years international warranty

15.6" Asus G55VW-S1095V, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GTX660M (2GB) + (1920x1080)@3999, 4GB, 1TB(5400rpm), W7HP Lenovo Ideapad Y580, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GTX660M (2GB) + (1920x1080) + Bluray@RM3599[JBL], 8GB, 1TB HDD(5400rpm), W7HP, backlit keyboard, 2 years international warranty MSI GE60, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GTX660M + (1920x1080; anti-glare) + Bluray@RM4199, 8GB, 1TB(7200rpm), W7HP, 2 years warranty, gaming mouse & backpack, Free SteelSeries QCK Mass mousepad

So i was wondering, for gaming, i know that i would need a pretty high end lappy to run those games; how much at least for a laptop that can do that and that doesnt lagg, because I for one, hate those internal laggs you get, especially when im doing my assignments. Are these laptops suffiecent enough to do all those?

Thanks in advance thumbup.gif

Get the Asus, Lenovo or MSI nod.gif Then upgrade the HDD to SSD nod.gif
If you prefer stock laptpos, then the MSI would be better because of the faster HDD rotation speed which will give you an overall faster experience (shorter program load times). But of course the best is to have a SSD.
The M14x is no match for this monsters brows.gif

Hey any idea where I can get the SDD for a decent price? It normally cost a fortune compared to a powerful HDD doesnt it? Im guessing a 500gb SDD is suffiecent?

Also, ive decided on the ASUS but I heard that if anything goes wrong, Asus customer service isnt terrific.
And If im happy with the listed laptop, do I just write it down and survey around in lowyat? Or do i have to order it somewhere? Im clueless about this, first time buying myself a decent laptop. I was used to customizing my own desktop last time, and it was pretty straightforward. biggrin.gif

Thanks in advance bro! thumbup.gif

Try to deal with devour (especially if you're around PJ/KL area), he knows some Asus insiders I think, so repairs will be relatively faster..
His prices are pretty fair as well  icon_rolleyes.gif
