one is 14", the other one is 15". it really depends on you, spec wise, they're almost identical. try to get your hand on the real model, see which one do you like. since you love the backlit keyboard, i guess there's no point on buying something that you don't prefer. in the end you're the end who's going to use the laptop.

i don't think you can go wrong with y480. it is quite recommended here.

14"
Asus A43Sm-VX102v, i5-2450M + Nvidia GT630M@RM2099[2.4kg], 2GB, 500GB (5400rpm)
Toshiba Satellite L840-1026X/XR/XW, i5-3210M + AMD HD7670M@RM2399[2.12kg], 4GB, 640GB, W7HP; colors: Black/Red/White, 3 years warranty
Lenovo Y480, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT650(GDDR5)@RM2499[JBL], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), backlit keyboard, FreeDOS

15"
Asus
A55VM-SX037, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT630M@RM2399, 4GB, 750GB, W7HP
N56Vz-S3088V, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT650M@RM2699[Bang&Olufsen], 4GB, 750GB, W7HP, subwoofer and backpack

Toshiba
Satellite L850-1001X, i5-2450M + AMD HD7670M@RM2499[2.41kg], 4GB, 640GB, W7HP, 3 years warranty

Try to go for the N56Vz or the Y480 if possible since they have better graphic cards (but do take note that the Y480 recommended here doesn't come with Windows, W7 version is RM2799~

The Dell XPS 15z is kind of outdated, its not worth it imho hmm.gif
Can consider these:
14"
Dell
Vostro 3460, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT630M + 32GB SSD + 500GB(7200rpm) HDD@RM2899[2.23kg], 4GB, W7HB; colors: red/silver/bronze
Vostro 3460, i7-3612QM + Nvidia GT630M + 32GB SSD + 750GB(7200rpm) HDD@RM3199[2.23kg], 8GB, W7HB; colors: red/silver/bronze

15"
Vostro 3560, i5-3210M + AMD HD7670M + 32GB SSD + 500GB(7200rpm) HDD@RM2849[2.57kg], 4GB, W7HB; colors: red/silver/bronze
Vostro 3560, i7-3612QM + AMD HD7670M + 32GB SSD + 750GB(7200rpm) HDD + (1920x1080)@RM3509[2.57kg], 8GB, W7HB; colors: red/silver/bronze

Use the remaining money for warranty extension (RM249) and to upgrade to W7HP if desired nod.gif

If Asus, then this:
15"
Asus N56ZM-S4079V, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT650M + (1920 x 1080) + BluRay@RM3599[Bang&Olufsen], 4GB, 1TB

Very subjective... you should check out both laptops and see which one you like more nod.gif

Apart from that, I guess the more important question is: Do you want a 14" or a 15.6" notebook? If you are travelling all the time, then the 14 incher would be the better pick~

14 or 15.6 I don't really mind, weight is not an issue. I go check out those two. Thanks again laugh.gif
