Budget: RM2000-2600
Brand:preferably HP or Asus
Graphics: 2GB graphic card
Chip:i5 or i7
Screen size: 14" or higher
Usage: some gaming and a good built in webcam for tele-conferencing.

going to get the laptop by next week..
i've followed this thread for many weeks and I know the laptop that suit with my budget..

but within this two.. lenovo y480 (i7) and n56 (i5), which is more worth?

i doubt so, since alienware is out of the budget, imo lenovo y480 is the best you can get

one is 14", the other one is 15". it really depends on you, spec wise, they're almost identical. try to get your hand on the real model, see which one do you like. since you love the backlit keyboard, i guess there's no point on buying something that you don't prefer. in the end you're the end who's going to use the laptop.

i don't think you can go wrong with y480. it is quite recommended here.

does the n56 got the backlit on all model? or only on the expensive one?

eh my mistake, i thought the asus n56 doesn't have backlit kb, but based on this thread it does.

Alienware M11x was discontinued some time ago... you can probably find some 2nd hand units that fit your budget in Garage Sales

Any upcoming laptop that is worth to wait ? Something with i7 win 8 or something like that cause maybe i gonna buy a lptop around sept. thankss

A guy offered me xps 15z i7,8gb,2gb gc for rm3250..

The Dell XPS 15z is kind of outdated, its not worth it imho

Between N56Vz and Y480 which is better in terms of heat dissipation?

Larger laptops tend to dissipate heat better

Which is bigger? N56Vz or Y480. They look similar

Y480 is 14"

N56 is 15.6"

Very subjective... you should check out both laptops and see which one you like more

Apart from that, I guess the more important question is: Do you want a 14" or a 15.6" notebook? If you are travelling all the time, then the 14 incher would be the better pick~

14 or 15.6 I don't really mind, weight is not an issue. I go check out those two. Thanks again
