if ur happy with the case u have than why bother? unless ur the kind that constantly has an itch (like me:P) then diff story la. i guess the most important factor u should consider is the airflow. coz these days thats the most important factor in deciding for a case.

ok, i knew the atrix 5000 has a very good airflow, but i dun like the quality, will feel the casing so soft and fragile when mounting fan, plus find out that the material is not so good compare to centurion 5 which my fren using... the centurion casing is hard and looks solid, the atrix just looks cool and solid from outside, the material inside is kinda soft, find out tis when mounting fan, now planning to change my mobo and cpu, so may spent extra 200 to buy the CM centurion 5...

hey....if ur willing to spend.....then by all means go ahead man. the cm5 is a good case IMHO especially since the build quality is better than the atrix.... and that case has good airflow too

Haven't played with powerlogics but I have a Centurion 5. While the panels are ok...the chasis material's pretty junk as well ( I chopped away the fan grill and made a hole on the mobo "tray")

dude, Atrix 5000 is a RM150 casing .. CM5 is RM200++(?)

Atrix works fine for me.. Just that it is VERY HEAVY. The "filter" works great.. each week i have 1cm thick dust on the filter biggrin.gif

i like the atrix design, but the when mounting fan on the top of the case, i notice the metal is very soft, the centurion however solid metal in whole case, plus the atrix led is all glued in only and the centurion use solder... i mounted a 120mm uv fan at front 5"25 bay of centurion 5.. hope will increase the ventilation... btw, my powerlogic will still holding my p4 cause i gonna build a 2nd rig using C5, it's an amd plus SLI...

I got this 2 casing Atrix 5000 and Centurion 5. For better ventilation, Centurion 5 is winner. Got 80 mm intake and 120mm out take. Atrix 5000 got 2 x 80 mm (Fan not supply together) and 80 mm out take. Got ducting at sidepanel include 120mm fan.But if u like led panel, Atrix 5000 is winner. Complete with cpu,gc,hddisk temp connector. tongue.gif

Paise ikan_semilang... my bad....

EDIT: Btw, i found something not so good bout atrix 5000... if u use some bigger heatsinks for ur cpu, it would be too tall and will affect the ventilation as it'll block part of the rear 90mm fan.

EDIT:TYPO

Powerlogic Atrix 5000

is very good innovations in the designs....
but the application is horrible. The initial batches are horrible...
the stand-off for the Mb could not be screwed in due to tooling issues.
I assembled a few systems for a friend's lan shop *puke blood*..

the screw holes were not tapped well... but this was imporved later
but still out of 8 holes.. at least 1 hole is bad.... Home user ok lah..
do it 1 time only.. I had to do it 20 times...for 20 systems...
All SI.. stay away from this casing...

The LED in the front some DOA some die a few weeks later.

The side mount for HD is bad.. the allowance for SATA cable was too little
unless you have those L-shaped connectors. Got 1 ~2 systems due to
problems had to open up the side panel s few times.. the HDs connction
for the SATA HDs broke off. sad.gif

but i must say the tool-less rails for the HD is not bad. fitting was good. and easy.

The tool-less design for the PCI cards were horrible.... had to remove it.
because the graphic card cannot use the tool-less latch..sad.gif
The additional COM Ports and USB ports that had to be mounted on the PCI also face issues with the tool-less latch..

The paint job on this casing is weak... came of pretty easily..

All in all... looks good... but bad overall designs with good innovations.
Price not that great either...sad.gif

I will take the Centurion 5 anytime.

Was out hunting for a casing for my bro's rig the other day.. His budget was around RM150-250.. and one of his choices was the Atrix.. However, when we looked closely at the paintjob of the black one.. noticed that "rusty" dots seemed to have developed on the surface.. this problem was apparent on units in several other shops.. The paintjob doesn't look like it would last..

In the end, settled for an Enlight 4108.. not flashy.. but elegant looking.. got it for RM175.. came up with a 300w PSU..

Installation was a breeze.. quality of the innards was pretty good and plenty of space..

Had several Enlight casings before and they never disappointed.. For the price, I think they give good value. smile.gif

My first Enlight casing was the 7237.. that was a classic.. well-made and sturdy although somewhat plain looking.. was quite a hit with modders too..

Those r not "rusty" dots on the paint lar. The paint texture is lidat 1. BUT I found out 1 thing from modding an Atrix case. The metal they use is terrible. Extremely soft type of metal that I've never seen on any other cases. It bends so easily it's like melted plastic. Terrible, terrible quality. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Another thing is the toolless design like bOoEsT mentioned. Very flimsy.

My Rising Sun Worklog is using the Atrix. I had to be extrememly careful n gentle with the panel cutting coz the case was so flimsy n soft.

C5 is a good case, I should say the airflow is one of the best however I would have prefered if they have used 120mm fan as the intake compared to 80mm where I would need a really high rpm 80mm fan to push enough air into the case which resulted a noisy cpu sad.gif

Also notice there's no hole for you to push your unused PSU cable to the back of the mobo, a hole have to be cut opened in order to push the cables back. +_+""

I modded the intake from 80mm to 120mm for my fren's C5. Now the airflow shuang shuang no nid filter coz the casing meshed up so nice edi. I still like having one C5 if i have the chance later.

I still reckon that the Centurion5 is the best low-end case a person can afford. Good built, nice designs, quite spacious, what more can a person ask.

1 think not good bout cm5 is the 8cm intake fan, too small airflow, sommore cannot mod it to 12cm... but still better than atrix for cooling down hdd cause of the metal mesh design... biggrin.gif blush.gif

you need to connect the cooling fan to the fan1 and fan2 cable... and for sure your cooling fan must have 3 wire to display the RPM...

do you paste the temp sensor correctly?

A question about Cooler Master Centurion chassis.

What is the different between Centurion C5 (CAC-T05)(CAC-T05 US) and Centurion 5(CAC-T05)?

Colour different only or? icon_question.gif

how about read the user manual?

there is 2 connector, fan 1 and fan 2...
just connect it with your cooling fan.

buy those branded cooling fan might come with 3pin connector... (black, red, and yellow)
yellow is for temp display if not mistaken...

then just plug into(connect to) fan1 and fan2...

Its only the color difference, one is purely white, and the others is normal, with the color varying at the FP only
