Melee inferno viability = only as far as early Act 3 if you only rely on drops and budget items from AH. Tanking in Act 3 is extremely painful, weakest mobs hit me for 3k upwards, some mobs hit me for 10k+, and I have 1k+ resists and 9.5k armor.
