Yashin: I slept at the airport lor, and I'm a chick. A lot of benches for your picking, and apparently, your luggage will be safe there. Saw a lot of ppl just sleeping with their luggage next to them. Here are some options:

1) Wanna sleep at airport but worried about luggage and being smelly in the morning?
- There are coin lockers available (300-500 yen a day)
- Shower rooms for 800yen are available at Haneda (http://www.haneda-airport.jp/inter/en/premises/service/relaxation.html)

2) Nap room in Haneda airport
- http://www.haneda-airport.jp/inter/en/prem...relaxation.html (1000 yen per hour. Quite ex...)

3) Stay here (overnight 4500yen onwards)

Yes will do. Will update when I'm back.

Forecasts show that on 22nd will be highest 24c and lowest 15c.

However 23rd onwards, highest 20c and lowest 9c.

Hopefully it doesn't go down to 9c, if got also hopefully at 2-6am.... lol not planning to bring my winter jacket. tongue.gif

hmm... assuming 3 days in tokyo, 1 day in hakone, 3 days in Kyoto & 2 days on osaka. about 10 days.
if you fly back from osaka, then no need jr. why not you finish ur tokyo first, then after hakone continue with kyoto & osaka? pay a day trip to nara too.

hi.. anybody been to the sapporo snow festival before?? normally when they actually started to carved the ice ??

i will be going to tokyo next year 24/1 to 2/2/13, and wanted to go to sapporo as well.. unfortunately, their official website mentioned that the sapporo ice festival will only started on 5/2/13.. cry.gif cry.gif

if i go sapporo on 30/1 to 2/2, is there any chance that at least i could see the participant carving the ice... anybody can advice?

if not, maybe i should changed my plan and travel towards south japan instead..

I would like to know about pricing of camera stuff in jap. I've learned about Yodobashi Camera and Bic Camera, the leading discount electronics retailers. Does it really cheap compare to here?
Im looking for some lenses or other camera accessories, new/2nd hand is acceptable. Any idea?

Was thinking of buying a PSV in Japan, didn't expect there were so expensive, better buy here than there.....

When I was there, they were launching the new iphone 5 at yodobashi, u can see a lot of sales person walk to you trying to lure you in........

I think the biggest yodobashi store is in akiba, am i correct?

Just an update on my visa.. if anyone interested.
Applied on Thurs - very simple. Fill in Form, Show bank account statement (make sure its Certified), Company Letter, Photograph 4.5x4.5cm with white background, Itinerary Plan.

They didnt want my hotel booking and Air Ticket confirmation, returned the copies to me - so I guess they're not necessary.

Collected on Monday from Counter 5 - no need number , just queue. But was really quick, like practically 6 mins only. Best time to go collect is around 2pm as you won't need a number then.

Yay. I now have a Valid Japan Visa for 15 days only... going in Nov!
