Hi, saw this at Harvey Norman and Best Denki in Penang selling at RM5699. For the same model LM6700 47" pricing at Rm4650/Rm4600 is very tempting. May I ask where can I get it in KL? Thanks....

Never buy from this giant chain stores ..ie. senQ, Best Denki , Harvey Norman. Their price is explosive. I got mine from my area in Ipoh. Go to other LG dealer stores around your town area & scout for best price. This outlet usually display large LG signboard. They sell cheaper n reasonable. Ok..I did was to call up & also email enquiry to customer service for nearby shp dealer, next LG sales person call me & advice me accordingly or direct me to the shop nearest to my home.

Or else u can go to LG M'sian website , click for LM6700 tv, then at the slight right top, search for nearest dealer at your area. Scout around & perhaps demand for the price.

How's that ....if u r in Ipoh, I'll recommend you the shop. But I'm not familiar in KL.  Lennon can help u in KL. but best Denki do at times offer good price. But I don't shop at this chain shop. I buy Panasonic I go Pansonic dealer, Sony at Sony dealer. They were very much cheaper. Don't go to mall. Town shop are cheaper.

Btw, the box for 47" is real huge. Won't fit in the car.

After 2 days of playing with my new toy....I'm bloody impress with the tv. It's slim bezel & slick look transform my living hall futuristic deco. Just kidding but seriously darn nice to look at it. Here's my take on overall performances:-

3D - awesome man. Can't see the diff between active 3d & this passive. It's the best comfortable 3d ever. Family & friends of 8 can view in very wide angle. Light & laying on the couch & manage to watch the entire Despicable me in 1 go without strain in eyes.

Wifi- with unifi , loads of apps, loads of free 3D samplers, u tube etc. me love K- Pops..free MTV & live, interview etc. I feel so smart owning this smart tv.

Audio- with so slim bezel & tv, never imagine it produce quite powerful loud audio. It's way better then my older Samsung LCD & Panasonic Plasma. It surprise me. But then watching bd I'll opt for AV system.

HD- pass with flying color. It's colorful , so vibrant. Test in on Astro Beyond HD & bluray. Sure it's better then then my older LCD Samsung, but I luv the Samsung latest LED unit. Donno maybe they tested on their demo disc, thus looks better. I actually luv Samsung but then they do not produce passive 3D.

SD- not really my concern. My wife luv watching the poor Chinese drama disc so is my kids with their collection of cartoons on an old DVD player. It's ok only but can see the poor quality of the pics with loads of pixels. Watching tv programmes, none HD is acceptable.

All I can say LG produce most slickest flat tv at the moment. Watching  3D on a frameless tv is a whole new experience. It's like see them popping out at the side. Like viewing an aquarium. Donno how to describe...but simply amazing. This goes to watching other HD movies too.

Btw, I haven't calibrate my tv yet. I'll take a recommended calibration from website. Meantime, I switch to Vivid color coz I love colors. LG is good with color accuracy & vibrancy.

Your write up is really tempting me, anyway good to have someone who actually owns it and tested it as a consumer... Do u think they have ready stock, on a norm they have to order and wait for quite awhile... but you have been fantastic with the 1st class info... Cheers

One 8 is the shop L3nnon recommended?

BTW , I suppose no dongle required for Lg LM6200 model lah, Johore. It's quite similar to LM6700 just bezel different. There is many LM series if one do not require smart TV & is way cheaper.

Yep, have been busy fixing my new toy and all I can say is that LG has made it a lot easier for all of us. Pic on HD/Blu-ray and Astro Beyond is simply stunning. 3D is amazing as the passive glasses is light and no battery or charging require. I was once contemplating about the glossy screen, however there is not much reflections that really got my attention. It is just as smooth as like watching movie from my MAC. Anyway, it all depends on the lighting around the house.

The only setback is that I was not able to connect my audio from the TV to my old DVD surround system. So for the time being, am only able to utilize the built in speakers. Looks like I will have to buy a separate optical audio cable to link in order to get a better sound effect.

Almost got a 47"LW5700 from Harvey Norman at 3,999 which I personally thought is still a bargain. But this is exceptional reasonable at RM4,650 with the latest sleek design, I totally have no complaints but glued to the TV since morning watching some of my favorite movie. Begin with Real Steel and next on the reel, The Ghost Protocol......

Sure thing the apps is different. LG got their own apps but mainly gear towards movie, MTV etcs. Includes social apps like Facebook. There loads of 3D samples & MTVs. It has it's own games but not as interactive as Google Play of Andriods version. Yes due to limitation on TV, apps on LG is just handful few only.

See if I can help you in this. You can still connect it via normal surround cable from old audio out frm TV I suppose if the audio system hv no optical cable in.

Yeah...I still say LM6700 a better buy then LW5700 series especially the sleek look itself. I can actually sit staring @ the Blank TV as if it's a piece of Arts. BTW , try explore all the features & calibrate it yrself. Both video & audio has lots of tunings preferences. I manage to tune the flesh tone by discovering a flesh color tune. Both mine vid & aud is on Vivid mode but with some preference calibration.
Did u get 2 sets of glasses?
*
Yeah, it works well with the Optical Audio Out and I noticed that the sound is so much better than a normal audio stereo jack. No wonder the cable is double the usual jack.

He gave me 2 sets of glasses with a total of 8 pieces all together.

Hey, do u have any idea of how to get astro beyond work in my room. Currently am able to watch via the RCA cable but unable to control the channel from my living room... Any realible transmitter that you can recommend?
