he was one of the best theory crafter out there for WoW together his 'clever' use of game mechanics (being a software engineer IRL helps with his min/max)...
ppl would flock to his stream to look at such mechanics and use them instead of figuring it out themselves as he would always aim for real first titles...
besides, he is pretty good in WoW arena together with swiffty as one of the best ret/ rogue compo...
he also organizes loads of events which kept games alive when they are suppose to be dead such as speed runs involving big names/ guilds...
that says a lot about his credentials and why ppl are wiling to fork out gold/ money for him...
it is the confidence he give them that he can break any game with the preparation he made even when he might not be the best player out there...
he is also personally sponsored by Razer and some other companies...
as much as he trolls around, he do know his stuffs and his history says it all...
u can't argue with numbers and spreadsheets...
he might not be the best player in the world, but he is definitely up there...
if u get mad by his trolling video, u are not wathcing him right lol...
