simple phrases - make these phrases into past tense. Do not use -masu form.

1) 酒を飲みます
2) 夜に闇が来ます
3) 寿司を食べます

Do you know in Japanese, you can simply drop the noun...
i.e. "boku wa kaeritai" becomes "kaeritai" (I want to go home).

By default - every sentence you say in Japanese is about yourself. Unless you are referring to a third party or the other party, noun is a kind of burden to say/to write.

(I am getting) angry! ~ 怒ってる「おこってる」

(to) miss you - 恋しくて (koishikute) and many other variants
another way to describe that you are missing someone is
会いたい (aitai - want to meet you)

just remember English != Japanese. There are many phrases that cannot be directly translated to Japanese.

okotte - the root word is "okoru"

shin nen akemashite (新年あけまして)
ehem to celebrate 21st century, we say 二十一世紀あけまして!

the difference is 千年殺し

"kimi no shindou-kyuushuu kusshon ni naritai" (君の振動吸収クッションになりたい)
antatachi no nihongo ga muzukashikunachatta~

you don't have to use "-suru" for noun - "I want to be your vibration-absorbing cushion" - mou kantan daze?
