These days I'm picking up a few phases from the Animes I watch. Lol

Picking up phrases from animu doesn't guarantee your proficiency.
Try reading a book.

thanks.
it's starting to make sense now biggrin.gif

Based on your ciphering (which is correct), I'd read it as
毛皮きてんのかって!?
バカ野郎!フェクフアーとかいうやつだぜ!

or
毛皮もてんのかって!?
If I take into account of Ichigo's remark in the chapter.

not really
you need to "unlearn" some of the meaning because both kanji are similar but not the same in a way. The nuances differ.

Is Genki Textbook worth buying if I wish to self-study japanese?

- I can write/read hiragana, katakana and memorized 1,840 kanji.

今年、N3試験を受けようと思います

If you're N3 already, do you still need that one?

No need. At this point, just buy novels or magazines and try to actually use your skill to read real world stuff.

That's a lot of kanjis.

True, reading those N3/N2/N1 will only get you prepare for Exam, but not for the actual real-life conversation.

Been studying on and off by myself the whole time and not knowing which N-level is suitable for me.
I never take any JLPT exam as well, but planning to go straight for N3.
I'm not sure about Genki textbook tho, it just taht I've saw alot of good review about it thought might worth a shot.

When I first started learning Japanese, i was told to memorized 常用漢字 (2,136 i think).. and ANKI my way through all the flashcard. I can read just fine, but as you said, the actual real-life conversation is big problem to me.
For example I find it difficult to construct simple sentences with sequential actions although I know the object, noun, and adj word by word.

まぁ~日常会話だったら、多分平気だと思う。
