WHAT FOR???? shocking.gif ...s2 is better than nexus, why you want to sack your s2 btw?just cause it will got JB?if you really want to sell your s2 buy s3 instead not nexus

The exact reason I wanna let go my s2 is because galaxy nexus will be getting JB! S2 still unsure whether its getting JB! Plus gnex got bigger screen also hehe

But s3 right now way out of my budget hehe

I was thinking the exact same thing last week.
galaxy nexus seems tempting with the new OS.

but then doing some research and survey, i'll stick with S2.

i'll answer your question on why you should stick with S2.

1. battery, nexus battery life is quite bad. the HD screen, but with just 100mah larger battery is not enough.
look at gsm arena battery life test, endurance rating, S2 (40hour) vs nexus (31hour),
http://blog.gsmarena.com/our-samsung-galax...ow-it-did-test/
http://blog.gsmarena.com/samsung-galaxy-ne...ppointing-test/
look at browsing time, s2 can browse 4hour24mins vs nexus 3hour1min.
S2 video play back 8hours, nexus 6 hours.

2. camera, nexus has 0 shutter lag, can snap 10+ photo a second maybe, but the camera quality is quite bad.
not to say nexus has a terrible camera, but the S2 one is noticeably better

scale to 5mp and check yourself to see, S2 one can read the words at the ruler, nexus one become blur d.

3. memory. nexus only got 16GB, user available maybe just 12GB i think.
do a few cwm backup, maybe take 2GB each, one titanium backup also maybe 1-2GB. songs maybe 5GB, GPS maps maybe 1GB. installed apps 2GB. tada, noo more space. even if you cut down on songs, you still wont have enough space to transfer a movie inside to watch, whats the point of HD amoled if cant watch show? sure USB otg can help, but its really trouble some, based on experience. also, having cwm backup on the phone gives a safe feeling, anything screw up can straight restore. S2 can support memory card, buy a 32GB class 6 one, just cost rm125 only. now maybe cheaper.

these are the 3 solid reasons why i choose to stick with S2 in the end.

Thank you so much for your detailed explanation. I guess just the poor battery life on the Nexus is enough to discourage me from getting it. I should be happy with my S2 for now and probably save up to get the S3 later on. At one point, I was so convinced about the Nexus but now I changed my mind.

Thanks once again buddy for the great explanation biggrin.gif

Can our S2 support H+ data connection? Currently using Digi which doesnt have H+ yet. Planning to switch to Maxis.
