Not an S2 user but this happened to a friend when he tried to update via kies. Any idea how to recover from this?

So any idea how to fix that? The model is 9100G and it happened when another friend tried to flash through odin non-g firmware.

I have a few questions.
I am going to help a friend to 'upgrade' his i9100. Totally stock not even rooted. I am interested in resurrection remix ICS. Anybody have anything to say about this rom? I don't intend to flash the JB version just yet since its buggy but would love to know if the RRICS is suitable as a daily driver for someone who is just a normal user...just gaming and chatting and facebooking. Or would you like to recommened a better rom? Also, I did a read up on how to prepare the totally stock rom for flashing. Please correct me if I'm wrong with these two ways: 1. Easiest way is to flash via Odin the latest CM9 resurrection version and then proceed to flash the RRICS through CWM. 2. Flash Cf-root kernel with the correct firmware version to stock and then proceed to flash RRICS through CWM. Are there additional steps required? And last question, what exactly are the changes in the system that the CM9 resurrection rom gives? I am assuming it changes the kernel, recovery and bootloader. Sorry for being too blur. I almost bricked my cousin's DHD and now kinda paranoid to flash different types of phones. Thanks for the help! This post has been edited by faidz85: Aug 24 2012, 10:06 AM |
