Hi guys...
i need a guide here...im planing tu run custom rom...i already root and CWM 4.0 installed...now im thinking of using CM9 / CM10...
this the 1 i think i should do:

-install official 4.0.3 samsung ICS
-then flash to CM9 using CWM
-then can jump tu CM10

my question is:

-do i need to install other kernel to support the custom ROM?...
-do i need to back up current ginger firmware let say anything goes wrong...
-can i flash official samsung 4.0.3 ICS using CWM?...

really need your help...tq

Why so many steps? If you are already rooted with CWM, then just flash CM10 followed by gapps then do full wipe data, cache and dalvik cache. Just make sure you download the correct one for either G or non-G version.

You can proceed with gb bootloader. So far there is no issue reported with any bootloader. Then just flash CM9 then gapps then wipe.
