you need to google the difference between s2 non-g and g version to get the basic info on what is the different between this two.furthermore,non-g is rare right now but some can still buy at garage sell here.im using non-g so i prefer non-g,but take others opinion too.

Secondhand ones are abundantly available..

2nd hand phone is not that bad.

i'd take a 2nd hand non g than a brand new g any day.

when gf wana buy phone, i helped her look for a 2nd hand non g.
now she is so happy with it.

mine and hers now exactly same. no performance difference.

imagine the horror if i told her to get a g version.
before ICS arrive, g version lots of issues.
now issue is fixed i think with ics.

but if you insist get new phone, but nexus la. cheaper also.

*fun fact: S2g seems to be the only phone with its own dedicated thread on how to root and unbrick phone, and its active even till this day.

hahaha, i know what you meant here. i bought the G-version for my wife and she complains a lot!! 

now i already updated the G version to stock ICS which is ok for her to use!!

yes,ics is ice cream sandwich but non-g its better since a lot custom rom that(for me) is a lot better than original ics,hell...i dont even bother to install stock ics anymore just custom rom but only because mine is non-g.actually why you want s2 anyway?its a great phone but if you have money go buy s3 la..rather than hear us saying non-g is better than g and vice-verse better you keep your money till enough too buy s3,you say you first user so why not take what samsung offer now that they so called the best for human,sIII
