blush.gif can be turn off that feature?
*
Its in the opening post

Enabled by default, disable with:
CODE
echo "0" > /sys/devices/virtual/sec/sec_touchscreen/tsp_slide2wake

You can use a script to do that.

i know tht pipu at xda working on cynogen10 jellybean romm~
*
Yeah jellybean is on the way. Still lots to fix for non-G version. Common roms that people use are CM9, paranoid, or stock rom like wanam or neat.

Any good seller to be recommend for i9100 (New set, not 2nd hand and yes non-G version, doesn't matter if it is AP)? Searched more than 10 pages of threads and still can't find one available shop selling it.
*
Why dun u get G version? With ICS i think g version is quite ok. Plus they got CM10 already. tongue.gif

want to ask about S2 and note brick bug, or the emmc hard brick thingy.

at first i thought it affect 4.0.4, but notice all aokp also in 4.0.4

is it this bug just affect sammy based 4.0.4, where you cant use cwm.
because once use cwm then will brick,

but all aokp 4.0.4 are ok.

are all the above true?
*
I think its in sammy kernel.

Will SP reduce touch sensitivity??
Or just low grade SP will touch reduce sensitivity??? smile.gif
*
Some SP will but most wont. If you use custom kernel/rom you can adjust the screen sensitivity.

usually keys and coins will not scratch gorilla glass. it is the sands in the pocket that can bring scratches to the screen.
*
Agree, sand is hard and sharp and can easily scratch gorilla glass.

Finally resolved the contact prob..

In cm9 cant we use internal memory altogether with sd card? Seem like i need to reboot in order to use different storage
*
Dunno what you mean? CM9 can use both internal and external sd. External SD is in /emmc and internal sd is /sdcard.

cm9 20120719 RC is out...
Downloading...
Btw RC means stable version???
*
Release Candidate. Suppose to be stable but actually nightly is just as stable and have more newer feature. I am not sure if RC2 is base on latest nightly or just from the previous RC1.

my i1900g keep rebooting itself
any idea why?
*
Such a general problem statement. So i give you 2 general solution:
1) Upgrade to ICS if you are still in GB.
2) Flash custom rom.

I think you accidentally switched off the android logger in extweaks.. mine is same (sammy rom + siyah) but have the app usage % in battery page..  hmm.gif

Nah i think there is an issue with newer stock rom and latest few siyah kernel on the app usage report. Quite a number people have reported it.

Fluxi Beta 3 is out for those that wanna use it.

QUOTE(myfluxi;29078849)

  • New init/trigger thresholds for slide2wake (at 10/90% of display width)
  • I cannot reproduce any problems with incoming calls and the proximity sensor, sorry. So I just disable s2w when the sensor signals a near event. Gimme feedback.
  • Linux 3.0.38
  • Samsung i9100 Update 6
  • Remove open source sensor HAL, finally CM did the right move to include it

I will update the Tweaker with an option to disable once it's done.

didn't they release 3.4 just 2 days ago?

hm...dont like when dev release things too frequent.
makes me feel they dint test it nicely
*
They don't. Its the XDA users that test it. Its a developer forum not an app store.

Plus this release is not to fix the kernel but improve it by adding new compatibility to stock 4.0.4 bluetooth.

i dont think it come from my wifi cos using laptop dont see any drop..
on zetarom

That's why its called nightly. It comes out every night. Their build bot is programmed to make a rom everyday. But no one says you have to flash everyday. I usually check the changes and see if there is any need to flash the latest.

this is a quote from xda thread

The user dave7802 give us a very good explanation in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ostcount=20229

Of course that it's not everything, the kernel have a lot of "guilty" in this issue, after read the feedback of the users i think that the top for better battery is:
CM9 Kernel
DarkKnight Kernel
Fluxi Kernel
Siyah Kernel
But remember this is very subjective, all depends of the customization that you made over the kernel.

so based on feedback CM9 default kernal is the most efficient one,
where to download CM9 standard kernal? can it work on non CM9 roms?

i googled "cm9 sgs2 kernal"
but results for siyah appear...weird

Added on July 23, 2012, 11:07 amby the way paranoid rom fans,
i saw in xda it was updated, seem like got jellybean version already
*
CM9 kernel comes with the rom. There is no separate download AFAIK. You can extract the boot.img and rename it to zimage to flash it to get the kernel on your rom. It should work on other AOSP/AOKP roms but dun quote me on this. rolleyes.gif

Please be reminded recent CM9 kernel comes with buggy CWM6 which is known to wipe your external sd when you do backup/restore thingy.
