A good tip before laying rotan..

ask them, why did you get rotan?
emphasise what they have done before rotan..

I was lucky I had a good discipline teacher.

everytime rotan budak, he will ask the student, what they done wrong. and he will tell them, I rotan bukan nk pukul, but to teach..
then zasss....

teacher only rotan after the wrong-doing has been done..
not a form of prevention.
plus, a teacher has limition when canning, max 3 times.

what najib done is form of prevention and gaining power. which has nothing to do with small-scale parenting here.

teacher not using rotan so that they can gain power, or ask money from students.
parents don't use rotan so that they can get money from their children.

MOST of discipline problems at school are coming from home
parents too busy with work, no time to chat look up for children. only leave duit belanja in the morning, come back late night from work.
parents so poor, but children demand more because see other students brought iPAD at school..
some, came from rich family, got every gadget a man can think of, but still cause discipline problem.

because at school, they are heard. everytime they cause a problem, teacher pay attention to them. not a good attention, but better than being nothing at home.
