Lumia 800 at RM999????.....is it time for me to change??

Lumia transport isn't really good in kl....i searched from klcc to one utama, and it told me to take LRT from klcc To kelana jaya(correct) then WALK for 3 HOURS to one utama(WRONG!) When there are many buses from kelana jaya station going to one utama... LOL

I hope it gets better over time...but I can't blame them for not being able to put bus schedules in...our rapidkl isn't known known for keeping schedules anyways

try changing your phone region settings to US or UK and try..

yeah, im well aware many apps have not been fully integrated or support Malaysia. Well that's probably also why many apps are not available here or are region specific.

if anyone is up for it, you could go to nokia beta labs and get the nokia transport 2.0 Beta, it works a little better, but still not 100%

My commute function in nokia drive 3.0 is not supported in Malaysia...i wonder when it will be

Anyone get any success with photosynth? I just tried to shoot the ocean view here in PD and the result is quite crap lol...

it wasn't always the wave but also getting the horizon in a straight line that was difficult, maybe because the lumia 710 doesn't have a gyroscope?

Is everyone able to send group messages via sms?...i cant for some reason, even if its just 2 people, i will get the "cant send message" " Try again?" prompt everytime...but i can send the sms to each person individually without a problem

so i found out that that bing music search can identify mandarin songs as well!

my co-workers were trying to figure out this one mandarin song that was playing on the radio, and i just decided to try using my phone and well...it found the song within 30 seconds even though i was about 15feet away from the radio and there were people talking and photocopier making copies, bing didnt have a problem.

i dont really understand mandarin that well (BANANA) but at least my phone does! LOL

Its not the voice feature (I'm guessing your talking about what happens when you hold down the windows button), its Bing music in the search page next to Bing vision or it could be due to your region settings...

Try changing your browser and search language to US and see if you get the Bing music feature. You will see local scout there as well but it doesn't work for us here in Malaysia.

Hey all, anyone got recommendations for youtube player app? I accidentally deleted supertube when i installed metrotube to try it out. Metrotube for some reason when i used it was super laggy even after restart. I tried to reinstall supertube but it is no longer free

The basic youtube app is ok but it doesnt show all my subscriptions.

It works! When the buy button is pushed, it will go into the payment page and verification,a prompt saying that you have previously installed this app, would you like to re-install will show up.

Okay now another question.

SHOULD I unlock and flash a custom ROM on my Lumia 710?

I already need to hard restart my phone as its already lagging a little and little bugs + self restart every now and then. So im not worried about losing data other than some game progress data but thats unavoidable .

So, i need to know the positives vs negatives of unlocking and flashing.

Will it void my warranty?
Can i restore it back to the stock ROM if i ever need to send it to nokia care?
Is there any work being done on improving USSD function's in a custom ROM?
Also will it allow me to get paid apps for free?

Anybody want to get casing or anything from this site for that matter for their phones? I want to but the shipping is going to cost almost the same as the case itself.

I thought there was a bug as well, but i have since noticed that it wont change every 24hours on the dot, sometimes earlier and sometimes later. It will also require internet connection to get the new picture as well.

Rest easy bro, the pictures will change eventually.

Got the notification for update this afternoon. Just updated now. Lumia 710.

Noticeable improvement in app launching speed.

never had a live tile issue before this so cant say that it was fixed.
