I don't think that's because of the new update you had if you were already a mango user before getting that new update.
The ABC thing in your app list pops up if you install 40+ apps if im not mistaken. (if you're already on mango)

can you explain it step by step....i want to update my friend hd7 using this method lorhh..

I'm still flashing my old Nokia 5800 for newly Custom Rom 

used Symbian Belle CFW before,
right now I'm using Windows Phone CFW for my 5800.

Why?

Just use whatsapp and trying it after the 2 update..all i got to say is...

-the speed of the app opening is much better than before
-3 tile size...the wide tile is my favourite
-if you receive a new message..after you read it...it will sent you to the main app screen...not the windows home screen as before..
-notifications as usual since i never experienced a delay on WP7 except if the battery saver mode is on..

2.9.4...then i get another update...please refer to the pic attached??sure you dun get any notifications??better check it mate
