I have this issue also. Sometimes their birthday appear one day early. I double check and sync and everything never change. Maybe it is the time zone issue.

any news on HTC 8X coming to Malaysia carriers? Not many getting on the Windows Phone ship. Only Digi sells Lumias. Maxis even jumped off the ship lol.

What do you guys think of the Digi Lumia 920 offer? worth it?
I'm not big fan of the 920. I don't know why i'm always drawn to HTC phones.

any of you gave ur first-gen windows phone for service or repair before? I'm afraid most repair shop won't be familiar with Windows Phone or htc trophy(my phone) which was rare in M'sia.

Its only shutting down PC and other standalone clients. The built-in feature in WP7.5( WP8 and Win8) will still remain, its not under the Messenger brand. No client is required for basic instant messaging since its built in Windows 8 and windows phone and even Outlook online. Skype will be the official Microsoft client for instant messaging for other platforms and also for additional instant messaging requirements such as Video calling and such.

Yah, the regular sized tiles are bigger. Two tiles will fill the width of the phone.

I also want to update laa... always get error when check for update

If i don't on WiFi on my phone, i can NEVER get "Your phone is up to date", always get "Can't check for updates error 8000FFFF"

So i've been trying to force the update while my phone in airplane mode always get error message.

Apparently, Zune is checking for update via my phone's Wifi connection instead of my PC's. I manage to get the "Your phone is up to date" message while my PC wifi is off and my phone wifi is on. But i get an error the other way round.

So is there anyway to make my Zune to check for update via the PC's internet connection?

I've been trying to force the update via turning off the phone WiFi during the checking process. No luck so far. The checking process via my phone connection is very inconsistent, so its very hard to time it right.

Manage to force the update via my phone. However, it's only the 8779 update, have to do it all over again for the 7.8 update. zz..

waah lao... try so many time, then manage to get update. then during the restarting the phone phase, my phone keep getting stuck during the restarting phase. I'm forced to disconnect and the update is aborted. Now must do it all over again.

Finally!!!!!!!!! Managed to force and install all the updates.

Jason, u may have the same problem with me.
Turn off Wifi (and obviously data also) on your phone, and try checking for update. If u get an error (8000FFFF) instead of "Your phone is up to date" message, you have the same problem as me i.e. Zune is checking for update via your phone, not your PC.

Turn on the wifi on your phone and check for update again, and time the whole processs until you get the "Your phone is up to date" message. After that, check for update again, this time, turn off the wifi ON YOUR PHONE 1 or 2 seconds earlier. Whether your PC is connected to the internet is irrelevant.

I don't mind trying customs since i'm way past my warranty and my phone's crashing issue will force me to upgrade to a new handset sometime in the near future.

official one nothing much also, only start screen, bing wallpaper and more accent colours.

Pretty big news on Microsoft acquiring Nokia's Devices and Services. Hmm, just when I thought it's time for an upgrade. Now I'm tempted to wait.
