pro : you will have alot of apps .. and fun!! + if you wouldn't mind loosing all your Text Messages = Cons, because Stock Rom unable to backup sms. i've lost all my 1year 500 text messages because of Custom Rom!!

my advise, just flash to custom, wait and save your $$ for WP8.

I can't access Celcom *118# from my 800.. How do I bring up the menu? Always got message "PHONE Session terminated"

Windows phone dont support USSD menu. You have to get the full code that gets u directly to the place.

Example, *118*1*2# maybe..

Yes,you may install any apps just like how you did earlier. With unlock you may also sideload xap.

Sorry, WP doesn't support USSD code.

why the ussd is still a dealbreaker??my friend said he did not get the lumia becoz no ussd function...im fine without it..

Hey guys, new Lumia 710 user here.
This is my second shot with WP. I was using Mozart as a temp phone while my S2 was sent for warranty claim for a couple of weeks but it was a little slow then, this was a year ago.

Now using 710 as my 2ndary phone for work purpose while note as my main. Prior to S2, I was a hardcore bb user, spent a premium to upgrade from previous BB 9700 to the 9900 when it newly launched only to find out it was not much of an upgrade. Couldn't take the lag.

The 710 is a much faster phone compared to the 9900, top line of bb. for probably 1/2 the price or maybe lesser.

I just got the phone last night, and the micro sim earlier today. Hoping to share and learn together with WP folks

how much you bought the 710??? why not go for Lumia800??

Here's the issue, I was hoping to go for WP8. waiting for the price to be announced and availability. And the y'day, the price was announced in Russia, 920 pricing being 800 usd and 820 being 640 USD.

I don't wanna pay that much for a secondary phone, so I settled for WP 7.5 (moving to 7.8)

reason I chose 710 over 800 is purely pricing and since my primary phone has all the features I need further more 710 almost similar to 800 in terms of spec but for cam and display. I got it a 3 mths old zitron set for 400

good investment for secondary phone on 2nd set! 400 can get butter smooth smartphone with some sosial related task is vy good already... if 400 for android i think can only get 1 laggy unit.


i was previously a radar user also in secondary phone, quiet happy with the smoothness and battery life , 1 week charge 2 times only as secondary phone...bu sold it as wp does not support ussd function .... anyway now kind of miss wp due to the battery management.

i wanna ask, i wanna unlock my phone, after rspl mode, i have to flash with rspl (DFT_RSPL_WP7FG2_LAUNCH) then flash the costume rom, is that correct?

hi guys, i too got a used lumia 710 at RM450...wow RM400 for a zitron set is a fine steal!

disclaimer here : Android user for 2 years now, mostly with my Galaxy SL which has already been flashed over and over, now on stock rom.

Having said that I wasn't expecting to be blown away by a RM700 phone but after 2 days of orientation, I'm still pleasantly surprised by the package.

I just need some app recommendations for a news reader type of app. With android I had the Google news app which fetches the headlines of any topic if my choice from news.google.com which i read often.

any similar app out there?

And by the way, no smart dialing? Seriously? Even S60 has this.....

ya. wp second hand value vy bad. but it is a good start also for people who want to test wp power...

Hahah. Then once u get lumia 800 u will think wait longer then might get lumia 900 in cheap. Consider buy early enjoy early.buy later get cheaper.
