my battery on standby has been poor as well. But fark that, I love my S3. I bought this to have those smartphone features, if I disable everything, then what's the point? Can't have widgets this, widgets that, no apps this, that, worrying about something unnecessary isn't just my thing. It's not that your phone goes dying after 2-3 hours right? Just have everything that you want, battery life with all those enabled could still make it through half a day so don't worry, it's fine, not faulty.

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Jul 9 2012, 11:20 PM) If you have full firmware then you can extract the modem and flash it by using MobileOdin. But if the files come for modem only then normally it already in flashable zip. No need to extract that flashable zip..just use CWM to flash it. I got the tar modem files from CheckROM website. I know it needed to be flashed via MobileOdin yet it didn't and send me to recovery instead. therefore did a quick Google search and found out that MobileOdin got some petty issues regarding the tar modem files. that's why I wondered whether it was a bug of the MobileOdin. The weird thing is that it failed when it comes to flashing modem tar file only. Other things no issue. |

seriously, CheckROM v3 on newly stock kernel from Samsung gives a very fluid experience to me. redrawing issue has been reduced greatly though it's still there, not completely gone. And now I just set my brightness to auto, I think it was redesigned as now it's great, adjusting the brightness automatically to my likening.
A very good ROM I must say. |
