guys, pls look at the picture below (pic took from xda forumer)

in my s3 some of the apps settings page(whatsapp, playstore, etc.), the display seems to hv some stripes as shown in the picture, i was stunned at 1st thought the screen mayb bend over in my skinny jeans(due to its thinness) n ended up the screen become liddat, bt tried wit other black background image the stripes doesnt seem to appear. so check it on9 n i found other hving tis also, some said it was part of the holo theme in ics n it is the way Sammy Roms are programmed to display gradients. could any1 pls check if tis also appear in their phone? nt sure it's screen prob or software issue.

izit? bt afaik s2 users tat upgraded to ics also hv tat color banding in certain apps setting bcos the holo theme is part of ics. while its true thr'r users claimed tat s3 color banding is more visible than in s2.

The banding is not related to pentile as I know, it is color bit use by Samsung issue.

n yea, i read abt the banding issue almost all phone hv tis jz depends on it is visible enough or not, me too found it on my s3, tis is realy frustrating, hope samsung can sort it out.

Added on July 8, 2012, 12:02 amAfter nearly a day use of 19300XXBLFB, this is by far the best ROM for S III, the default kernel is damn great in build, you won't get higher score in benchmark, but in actual, it run perfectly well, smooth UI and no lagging issue on 3D games like temple run - brave.

I am sticking to 19300XXBLFB stock ROM now + stock kernel, the only I change is changing the I/O from cfq to deadline.

i hv the same firmwares as urs and ngkhanmein. mine is MW set made by samsung and batt assembled in vietnam.

how does the pic taken slightly darker? in all environment condition or in darker/low light condition?

fyi, i bought my MW on the 3rd day of launch which is 2nd june at blue cube mid valley, n mine is Z sensor also made by samsung, batt assembled in vietnam. i suppose mine was 1st batch, so it doesnt mean 2nd batch only get the Z sensor. watever it is, let's c how samsung explain to us. meanwhile im stil happy wit my camera quality, well even if G sensor take better photo n im frustrated i don get the sony G sensor, i stil blif the photo took by Z sensor stil stand out from other phones, at least the phone is nt defect set, so jz enjoy ur s3 n live wit wat u get. icon_rolleyes.gif wink.gif
