there's an option to set it to turn off while ur phone is in sleep mode after a certain amount of time. i just found it. Wifi - Advanced - Keep WiFi on during sleep.

the made in Korea thing is a mental issue. It might just give some of us a more comfortable feeling knowing that ur set is not made in china.
